After tens of thousands of hours of voluntary labour, thousands of pounds of fundraising and more than 5,000 fish, currently we've lost. The stock of fish in the lake is not sufficient for us to be able to continue Saturday morning fishing club. ... As things stand the Goosanders, Cormorants, Herons and poachers have won. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Believe me however annoyed you are we could multiply it by 100 and it still wouldn't be enough. 

Due to ongoing problems with access and stocking levels Saturday fishing club is cancelled until May 2018. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. We will update the page next month, hopefully with some better news

Due to circumstances beyond our control Saturday fishing club is cancelled until 07/04/18. We apologise unreservedly for any inconvenience caused. I'm unable to give a fuller explanation as to why because I'd probably break Facebook's obscenity filter.

It's that time of year, spring is around the corner and the Saturday morning club will be starting. We have 300 fish being delivered this week (and hopefully many more to come) so we'll be back at the lake on the 10th March at 10am, come along and join us for a fee of £3 per person.

Unfortunately the club has had to suspend Saturday fishing for the rest of this year. Due to avian predation and human poaching there are not enough fish in the lake to enable us to deliver the experience we feel is necessary to Saturday fishing club participants. The volunteers at the club have invested thousands of hours of their time and we've spent thousands of pounds stocking the lake. Nearly 1,000 fish have been stocked in the last few years, however few of them remain. We intend to recommence Saturday fishing on 03/03/2018. Finally to the people who've been poaching our fish, thanks. I hope you feel proud.

There will be no Saturday fishing club next week as it's a bank holiday weekend. Also the taster day booked for the 23rd has been cancelled. Next fishing club is on the 2nd of September.

Saturday morning club will be starting tomorrow from 10 am (assuming the weather remembers it's Spring).

On Saturday 28th of January we are down at the lake having a clean up anybody who would like to come along and help us, we are meeting at the lake at 9 o'clock. Bacon rolls and coffee will be supplied and we would appreciate all the help we can get. Thanks in advance.
