Great quiet campsite love the peaceful setting

We stayed at this family-run campsite in late September and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We planned to stay just one night but ended up staying three because of the excellent location of the site which allowed us to explore Brecon Beacons. Within a few miles of the campsite there is a wonderful waterfall named Henrhyd. From here one can walk along the stream to some lovely pubs in Abercrave. Moving further afield, it was only a short drive to Pen-y-Fan. Also, the indoor facilities in a small conservatory were excellent and included a microwave, kettle, fridge freezer, sink, table to eat and cutlery and crockery - a perfect place to shelter when the weather was damp! There is one shower room with a toilet which we imagine would get busy in peak period, and one further toilet next door. For us this was no problem as there were very few campers at the site while we were there. The site itself is beautiful and located in a remote and tranquil spot. The isolated location of the site, coupled with the fact you can make fire in the fire pits around the field, provides the perfect place to gaze romantically at the stars! The owners of the site were very friendly and kind. When they are not around payment for the site, which is only £6 per person per night, is made in an honesty box on the door. We wholeheartedly recommend you stay at this site!

Very quiet, small peaceful campsite. Plenty of space to pitch up despite being the bank holiday weekend. The owners could have allowed more campers to stay however, they did turn away campers to ensure plenty of space for the people staying. Owners were very friendly and relaxed. Two toilets and a shared kitchen area with sink, toaster, kettle and fridge freezer for the campers to use. Shower area was pretty clean and did not smell damp. Very much enjoyed my stay. Several waterfalls in within 2 miles. I went for a cycling trip and there were plenty of big hills to climb nearby.

Campsite as it should be. Excellent!

A hidden gem! Very small family run campsite. Take it easy on the road down to the campsite as passing spots are few. Firewood available for the fire pits dotted around the site. A genuine get away from it all experience.

Great little site (only allows 25 persons so make sure you book!) and nice and low key. Suffers a bit with midges in the summer. Site so small that if you have any noisy people on site, you certainly know it!

Such an incredible little paradise... just 45 minutes walk from the highest waterfall in south wales (Henrhyd Falls), it is a must see!!!
John and Janet were lovely guests, made us feel welcome, especially our little dog Churrito :)
The camping space is a private hidden area to rest and connect with nature, the open fire and stream make this an unique and magical place to stay!!!!

Great little site, just what we look for. Has two toilets and one shower even a small kitchen facility. One small field with limited level spots. Open fires in the pre designated areas or bring your own firepit. Beautiful river and woodland the kids can play in. Just watch out for the migies, particularly bad this year!
