About Cynth Weyman - Inspired 2 Collect Gallery

My original paintings are transformed into Intaglio Strarti textile relief wall hangings, then to giclee prints then to 'my posh scarves' collections.

Cynth Weyman - Inspired 2 Collect Gallery Description

Cynth Weyman's solo gallery inspired 2 collect is in Blue Street Carmarthen near the bus station. She transforms her fine art paintings into Intaglio Strati textile reliefs, giclee prints and 'my posh scarves' collections. Visitors gain a true colour experience, so you need a little time to absorb the effects and discuss this fascinating technique and the fashion pieces are just lush! - it is very different. Most artworks are for sale too.

Some of you will have visited my solo gallery in Blue St. My 5 year lease ended in May. Thanks to those of you who supported me there. I’ve recently set up my home studio so that you can visit my artworks in a domestic environment just behind the king st arts quarter and library. See you soon.

Yesterday we saw #David Nash's tree sculptures at #Museum of Wales in #Cardiff. Absolutely amazing - a real treat and a must visit. The film was facinating too and well worth seeing the whole journey of a stump of wood since 1978.

'Another Amazing Sunset: Pwllgwaelod' in #Pembrokeshire takes centre stage in the Hoose in #Carmarthen. I started this Intaglio Strati textile relief at the National Assembly exhibition - it took 4 months to create. Just shows you can have large favourite pictures in small rooms wherever you live. Why not text me to arrange a date to view it?

Thanks to workshop members who attended my first open studio in the Hoose last week and gave so much positive feedback. We had a great day. I'll be running more events in due course.

Settled in at 6 Furnace Road now (next to Carmarthen's Adult Education Centre and near the King St Arts Quarter). I'll be running a series of Drop in Sessions to see my artworks in a domestic environment - yes large textiles work in small rooms - pop in and see how. Please park in St Peters' Car Park near the loos and walk through nearby railings. The first event is July 3rd between 11am-3pm. There'll be another later session soon (especially for folk working in town).

More details in my story on the right hand side. Slowly getting my new home studios together in time for July visits by arrangement. Let me know if you'd like to request a date and time. Parking is in St Peter's car park so ideal for Carmarthen's Arts Quarter - a cultural visit with a difference.

Pop in to see how this cover photo of my textile relief developed into a people's favorite picture at Y Ffwrness Theatre Llanelli and 'My posh scarves'. I started 'Another Amazing Sunset' at my solo exhibition at The National Assembly of Wales which showed 90 artworks at the Pierhead Building Gallery.

Thanks to Dai Nicholas at #Business Wales for creating a series of mini videos about my gallery and how I create Intaglio Strati textile reliefs. I'll be showing them in instalments from next month. Watch this space!

I've just created a St David's Week Welsh mobile for my gallery window. New paintings mingle inbetween. You may be guessing where I have dipicted. It's on your doorstop. Best to pop in and discover more after all 2019 is the #Year of Discovery. February and March being the months of celebration, give high street businesses a chance to create window diplays with a difference. Galleries can offer an extra twinkle to passersby too. Thanks to everyone who commented on my Valentine's window.

Why not book your 1:1 or 1:2 friends Intaglio Strati workshops soon? Times to suit both of us.

Time to come out of hibernation even if it's only 2 days at a time. Soon it'll be Spring! Gallery exhibition includes 'Thaw Begins' (well after we see the snow of course) and 'Another Amazing Sunset: Pwllgwaelod' - a reminder of how the sky can change two days before an eclipse of the moon. This piece took 4 months to create. New collection of 'My Posh Scarves' in pure silk inspired by this image available too.
