David Charles Williams - Artist

Works and works in progress. My work needs no explanation other than I strive to create beautiful images that stimulate the psyche.

David Charles Williams is a British Artist living and working in Wales. His practice primarily straddles upon the ideology of Abstract painting where he continues to explore the possibilities and boundaries of paint on canvas. Using formulate processes Willliams composes abstract structures with instinctive visual perception. Conceptually he is caught in the narrative supposing where 'the natural' ends and the 'the synthetic' begins. Visually Williams’s ‘Centred’ paintings can pack a punch. They are beautiful, thoughtful, rhythmic abstractions invoking contemplation and realisation. Be it via their luring subtlety or by their blatant luminosity.

His working practice is also bipolar in Nature where his inspirations come from everyday experiences and influence, be it though Artists past and present, the Landscape, Humanity and being in the moment. The work can spectrum from being highly decorative to deeply thought provoking and questioning.

Williams continues to look ever further forward yet equally further backward whilst standing right in the present.

David has a forceful Arts background, training and working within Fine Art, Music, Fashion, Graphic Design, Film and Computer Aided Arts and Media.
