DCE Ltd is a multidisciplinary ecological consultancy based in Penarth, near Cardiff.

We are one of the best-known and longest established ecological consultancies in the Cardiff area, having been operating in the region since 1996. We can carry out a whole range of protected species surveys for you - from bats to badgers, dormice to great crested newts, barn owls to water voles, otters to white-clawed crayfish and marsh fritillary butterflies - you name it. We can also do the full range of habitat and vegetation surveys, from Phase 1 and specialist NVC surveys, to river corridors and BMP assessments. With nearly 30 years' planning and development experience, we can assist you with planning applications, mitigation strategies, enhancement schemes, Environmental Impact Assessments, BREEAM /CSH assessments and licence applications. We also carry out scientific and strategic research projects on a wide range of subjects.
