The Red Bull Drift Shifters event takes top drifters such as James Deane., Fredric Aasbø and, of course, Mad Mike Whiddett and lets them loose on a custom-built course, complete with speed and proximity sensors. The closer they get to the sensors, the more points they score. There are no judges involved, just the world’s best drivers pitting their skills against each other in the pursuit of glory. Track days are a great way of experience the thrill of high speed driving on some of the best race circuits around.

The British GT Championship is not the only one taking on the historic Spa Francorchamps circuit this weekend. The Demon Tweeks sim racing team are in action for the iRacing 24 hours of Spa.
This time, two regular drivers Gareth Messham and Rob Taylor are joined by Tiago Pereira and Michael Evdoka as part of a joint venture with the FitzSty Motorsport team.
With the action starting this afternoon, we will keep you posted with how the events unfold.

This weekend, round 7 of the British GT Championship sees the series go international!
The iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium once again plays host to the teams and drivers for the championships annual overseas event.
It is close in the points standings coming into the weekend with Jon Minshaw and Phil Keen holding a slender 2.5 point advantage over the Aston Martin of Mark Farmer and Nicki Thiim. The latter having taken the win at the 3 hour Silverstone 500 back... in June.
As usual, there will be the associated pitstop penalties in place for the 2 hour encounter around the home of the Belgian Grand Prix. Farmer/Thiim will have to serve 20 seconds longer in the pits while Minshaw/Keen will be stationary for an additional 15 seconds due to finishing second at Silverstone.
Previous results around the historic Spa Francorchamps circuit suggest that the Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini will once again be strong. However, anything can happen in an endurance race at Spa.
