It's November, bonfire night is over and the lights are going up; now is the time we're beginning to prepare for Christmas and some of us this year are looking for volunteering opportunities on Christmas Day so we can share time with our community.

Come along to Open Doors at the Naylor Leyland centre today. Its the first Friday of the month so we have Arts and Crafts Friday where you can use our art supply's to create something new or bring your own project to work on in the company of others and spread some inspiration for others to enjoy.
We also have Jack Rowson from Integrated Autism Support with us today to offer support to those with Autism.
Open Doors runs from 1-3pm with free refreshments.

It's #CelebratingAge week! This week at our #OpenDoors we'll be welcoming Vale of Clwyd Mind to run a session 'My Generation' - a free course to help improve mental wellbeing. Funded by @WelshGovernment helping people over 50 explore tips/advice on how to deal with difficult times

Thank you so much to Lyn Siebenmann of Karma Wellbeing CIC for donating all these pots for our Open Doors and Active Inclusion volunteers to use to create a mini courtyard garden and also a thank you to Hazel Hughes for donating plants!
We are still hoping for help with plants, bulbs and seeds that can be planted now or in the coming months. We'd also be grateful for compost and any tools that are no longer needed.

A special certificate presentation was held at Prestatyn High School (14.09.18), Gerry Frobisher, the Youth Lead Volunteering and Wellbeing Development Officer at Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council, commended 63 of the Year 13 students who had carried out 6,450 hours between them of Community and School based volunteering. Forty one students were on hand to accept their Millennium Volunteering 50 hour, MV50 Sports Awards, 100 hour certificates, and 200 Hour Awards of Excellence Awards.
