Derek Butler:

“I have lived in Broughton for 50 years, and until retirement, I worked for British Aerospace. I am married to Linda, have a son Gavin and a daughter Kate and two grandchildren.

For 4 decades I have served my community on many institutions, whether local, regional and national. I am a School Governor, and a Community Councillor. I am Chairman of Mersey Dee Alliance (x border Flints, Wrexham, Wirral, Chester), Board member of North East Wales Economic Ambition, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Rail Task Force, Northern Powerhouse Partnership Board. Mike Lowe:

“I have lived in Broughton for 32 years with my wife Emily, who I have been married to for 46 years. We have two children, Rob and Louise and also one granddaughter. I worked at Airbus for 25 years before taking early retirement 5 years ago.

During my time at Airbus I served as shop steward for 22 years, 7 of which as Senior Steward. I served on Regional and National committees for union and National and European committees for the company. Over this period I, along with my colleagues lobbied parliament on many occasions to help secure work for Broughton. I have been a Flintshire County Councillor for Broughton and Bretton for the past 5 years and I am also a Broughton Community Councillor and a Broughton School Governor. "
