Morning all, it looks to be a better day weather wise today. As usual, our gate will open at 10:30, 1st train by 11, and our last train will be at 4:30.
Entry is £1 per person, and rides are also £1 each.
There are refreshments available, however we have no card facilities on site.

We still have quite a bit of rain here, the latest forecast is advising that it should clear up within the next hour.

The forecast looks to be clearing up by 12, we are aiming to start running trains then.

To try and prevent a deluge of messages via messenger, we are at the moment, intending on running today, as the forecast appears to show the rain stopping soon. If there is any change, I will post an announcement on the page. Thanks.

And for those who did not see the post last bank holiday weekend, due to increasing overheads we have unfortunately had to put the cost of rides, up to £1 each.

After a relatively quiet day here yesterday, we are getting ready to open at 10:30, for another day of fun.

We are almost ready to open, getting all the tables and chairs sorted. We are looking forward to seeing all who visit today and tomorrow.
I have been asked to mention that we do not have a cash point, or any facilities for paying with cards.

As our first open weekend of the year fast approaches, it is a hive of activity here at Derwen Fawr, ensuring that we are ready to welcome you all from 10:30 on Easter Sunday. The forecast is looking favourable for the Sunday and Monday, we hope that you have a great Easter break, and can pop in if you are in the area. Unfortunately due to increasing overheads, we are having to increase the cost of rides, to £1 each.

As 2018 draws to a close, we at the Swansea Society of Model Engineers, would like to wish all of our followers and visitors a Happy New Year, and we look forward to seeing you in 2019.
Our open days in the coming year are
Easter 21st and 22nd of April... Early May 5th and 6th of May Spring 26th and 27th of May Summer 25th and 26th of August
All dates are dependent on the weather, and us having enough volunteers to fully staff the site.

Another Bank Holiday weekend draws to a close, we hope that you all had a great time, and it was great seeing those of you who were able to pay us a visit. See you again at Easter 21st and 22nd of April 2019.

Well, it is a hive of activity here. Looking forward to a busy day. The Sun has just come out, and the kettle has finished boiling.

Unfortunately the weather has beaten us today. We will be open tomorrow from 10:30, as the forecast is much better for Monday.

We are rapidly approaching our last open days of the year, and the weather forecast is somewhat changeable. We have been busy maintaining the site, planning future improvements, and preparing for the bank holiday weekend.
We now have souvenir fridge magnets, as seen below, which will be available in the clubhouse for £3.
Looking forward to seeing you on the 26th and 27th.
