Kirsty Williams has announced that schools won’t open as normal next week.
That means some learning will take place at home.

If your child / children are finding it tricky to understand why we need to stay at home, this is a lovely story to share.
The Stay Home Superheroes is a short story to help children understand the pandemic, and how they play a part in staying at home.
The story was created by Play & Creative Arts Therapist Sophie Marsh, who’s is currently self-isolating in Monmouth.

The decision has now been made that the administering of FSM entitlement while the education sites are closed will now be carried out by the Benefits Team. The will replace the current interim scheme from April 6.
There is an online application form for parents who are entitled to FSM to complete and supply bank details so that weekly payments can be made to them to allow them to provide food for the children while they are at home. This form is called FSM COVID 19 and can be found under this link https://iweb.itouchvision.com/portal/f…

Lovely to see the Dewstow smiling faces on the photos published by the South Wales Argus to celebrate St David's Day. Our photos start at slide 14 and please note photo 15 is a group of Dewstow children Cherry Tree. Thanks Mrs Nurden for sharing these.

A huge thank you to all staff from Caldicot Comprehensive School, ARW Primary School, Durand Primary, Ysgol Y Ffin, Dewstow Primary School and Castle Park Primary along with staff from Monmouthshire County Council for working tirelessly this week caring for children of our vital key workers. What a team effort!

Parents of children from ARW. Castle Park, Durand or Dewstow can come along to Dewstow Primary (Woodland View) between 12 and 1pm to collect a meal. Tomorrow’s choices are: Ham sandwich Tuna sandwich Cheese sandwich Chicken curry and rice (will need to be reheated at home).... It would be useful if you direct message your child’s choice if intending to pick up a meal so we have some idea of numbers.
