Dial A Cab

This was the only taxi service that didn't claim that they had no taxis available in the area. Also they turned up within half hour of calling and the driver was very nice :-)

Didn't show up or answer the phone. Awful service and will never use this service again

After booking a taxi with this company last night, I would definitely not recommend them. Not knowing the area very well, I relied on this taxi company to pick me and my family up from a child friendly dance at 11pm. As we waited in the freezing cold for the taxi to arrive, I aloud ten minutes to pass before I called them as I knew It may have been a busy day for them, due to the rugby. When I called them, they explained to me that they have been very busy and that the taxi will be another ten minutes. Having to wait another ten minutes was reasonable I thought, but I did explain that we wouldn't be able to wait a any longer because the children are cold and we need to get home...... Ten minutes later, It still never turns up. I left it a little bit longer and then twenty minutes later went by. I tried calling again.. It's now 11.30pm and they are not answering the phone to me.. I called and called but no answer!!! Children are freezing cold by now, so I made the decision to take them back into the club where the dance was.(note: I didn't stay in pub with the children at first because the taxi company didn't know where the place was so we had to wait on the side street, just in case they didn't see us). I tried ringing other taxi's but I had no luck... I managed to get through to the company at about 11:40 and the man who answered seemed to think I orderd two taxi's (Not true!!! there must have been some kind of communication error) They said, because I wanted two taxi's,this is why it was taking longer. I explained to them " even if I was waiting on two taxi's, it is not acceptable to lie to customers about how long they were going to be" If they told me in advance that they was going to be 40minutes late, I could have just sat in the club and waited in there with the children. Long story I know!!! Anyways, the taxi didn't turn up in the end untill 12pm. If I didn't call, maybe they wouldn't have turned up at all. They knew we had children waiting in the cold and they didn't have the decency to let us know that they couldn't get a taxi out to us. I am so angry about this!! I called them this morning to talk to the manager but he wasn't there and apparently he was going to get back to me today. Do you think he did? That would be to good of them maybe.

Highly recommended friendly staff will definitely be using them again
