Horrible, horrible company. I want nothing to do with them ever, ever again. They think they can just renew your car insurance at a higher price and you won't blink an eye. Of course that every year I will go to the cheapest car insurance provider (and I am not the only one either - everyone is doing the same) and won't stay with the same as LOYALTY does NOT pay anymore. And because loyalty does not pay, when I called them, they had a cheek to ask for cancellation fee too. I have to pay for their theft. As I NEVER gave my authorization to renew, I never sent any document with my signature on, I don't understand why they would do that. Nobody asked them to renew. They are just thieves, hoping that no one will notice, and when they do notice , it's already too late as they have a cancellation fee. THIEVES!!!!

I have used Diamond for 3-4 years however I have just returned from a four day holiday to find my car insurance that I renewed over a month ago has now been cancelled without warning and the letter is not clear why this is. As it is now past the office closing time I cannot call them to sort this out and I am unable to travel to work in the morning due to the confusion this has caused. If there was an issue it may have been more courteous to call me or even leave a voicemail message (which they have done in the past), rather than issue me with a letter. I have been a loyal customer of theirs with a long history of paying without any issues and no claims, they have also debited me a random amount which does not seem fair.

They also tried to keep me after I said I was going to leave and gave me a very good deal, however I found out afterwards that they had given me a basic deal and then persisted to contact me every few days to sell extra products and services to me at an extra cost when I had asked them to be included in the first quote.

They may give you a cheap quote but it reflects the service they provide.

I called today to discuss the quote that i had been sent via post. I spoke to 'Danielle' who was very professional, polite and helpful. very happy with the service i received.

Had insurance for 2 years and been overcharged for all of that. Compensation received but not impressed when all my details were correct diamond decided they were different 'somehow'!

I cannot understand the bad reviews. I've just had to make a claim and they've been so lovely and helpful and car is already in the garage with a courtesy car on the way tomorrow. Honestly cannot fault them.

I am disgusted with the unacceptable treatment I have had from your company this week. We renewed our car insurance with yourselves which is due to begin on the 30th of this month. The total cost of the insurance was £832.65 (which we have saved hard to be able to pay) and I gave my card details to pay this over the phone when I set up our insurance renewal. After getting off the phone I logged into my internet banking to discover that you only took £471.74 so I called back and the person on the phone admitted that it was a mistake your end and asked for my card details again so I could pay the remaining £360.91. I gave my card details and the money was sucessfully taken out when I checked my online banking immediately after the call. The next day I discover that you have then taken that £360.91 a second time from my account. Meaning instead of paying £832.65 for our car insurance I have actually had a total of £1193.56 taken out of my account. This has left me over drawn and I had to get the bank to transfer what little money I had in my only other account into this account so I would no longer be over drawn and concur the daily over draft charges. I now have a grand total of £8 in my bank account after putting all the money I have left into the account you wiped clean. I have two children and don't get paid for another 8 days. Your call centre has informed me that although you can remove money from my account immediately. You cannot refund me immediately and I have to wait upto ten days for a refund. Which means I have a pound a day to feed my children until I next get paid! This is unacceptable!! And could not have happened at a worse time for me. Not only have you made me overdrawn. But I also have no food in my fridge and now no money to buy food due to the terrible timing of your cruel theft. The fuel in my car is almost empty and I have no money to fill my car up. My four year old daughter is special needs and we have three therapy appointments that I need to get her to between now and payday and no means to get her to them because you have wiped my account clean and expect me to wait ten days for a refund. Payday is the last day of the month for us. I have cried and pleaded with various people in your call centres to beg for them to find a way to refund me sooner but all I get is "sorry this has happened to you but you'll just have to wait". We work hard for our money which you have illegally just taken away from us and now we have no money to pay our remaining bills for the month. no money to feed us as a family of four and no money to get my daughter to her very important appointments that she so desperately needs. I cannot understand how you can remove my money immediately for your own personal gain. But you cannot refund me immediately. How do you expect us to eat for the next eight days as a family of four with only 8 pounds to our name!! The bank have said as the money has left my account and you've apparently issued the refund that there is nothing they can do to help us. And you say that you have issued the refund but it'll take upto ten days for me to get the money and that the bank should be able to make that happen sooner but you guys cannot do anything to speed the process up. I then asked the bank if this is correct and if they could make it happen sooner and they said that is false and they cannot!!
If I had enough money to live then I would not be bothered about waiting upto ten days. But I do not have that thanks to your terrible company taking every penny I have!

It is disgusting that a company that makes thousands of pounds a day can leave a family in this type of situation and can take money so quickly and easily but giving it back at that same speed is apparently impossible. It's 2017 and with today's online banking technology you definitely can pay me back immediately and are just choosing not too. £360.91 might not seem like a lot of money for a big company such as yourselves. But for us it's a huge amount of money to be without!

Awful. Nothing put problems and constantly being charged stupid amounts out of the blue for apparent "changes in my policy" which I am completely unaware of. Never again !

I have been with Diamond for five years, and recently changed my vehicle to a much newer, more economic, safer car. When I updated this, my policy went right up to £120 a month!! That's almost £1,500 a year! When I rang to complain, the man on the phone treated me like an absolute idiot, telling me that because its a new vehicle I'm more likely to crash it, that's why it's gone up by £1,000! - I'm not a moron, I know how to drive carefully!!!! Absolutely shocked, I've got no points, no claims for 5 years, so why on earth am I paying more than when I first passed my driving test!

When they finally, eventually, actually do what you asked them to do in the first place you do get a reasonable policy and usually cheaper than elsewhere, but my God, you need the patience of a saint to put up with reiterating multiple times to different people what it is you want them to do. After the 1st 45 min conversation I was assured that everything was in place and all that would be needed when my wife called to pay was the quote reference... Could they find any record of that conversation/policy quote? No. So my wife goes ahead with the new quote they give her after another 45 min conversation... Which is exactly NOT what we need as it doesn't use and therefore keep live her no claims bonus. Cue my next 45 min conversation where I once again have to spell out in excruciating detail something that should be bread and butter for an insurance company. I bought another car. We now have two. That's it. How is it hard???
