Why Diaspora Summit?
As more generations of British Chinese thrive, contributing and achieving remarkable success throughout British society, the community remains largely under the public radar. With these in mind, partly celebratory of the past and present, partly inspirational for the future, we ask ourselves - how can we accelerate forward and kickstart a new era of active engagement of British Chinese in UK society, and ultimately the world.
With the full backing of prominent British Chinese public figures from artists to politicians, the Diaspora Summit is born.

Introducing our last speaker Baldwin Li - Oscar Nominated Producer
Baldwin is an Oscar and BAFTA-nominated film producer and a graduate of Balliol College, University of Oxford. He founded Honlodge Productions in 2007 and his breakthrough came with short film THE VOORMAN PROBLEM which was nominated for both a BAFTA and an Oscar, and starred Martin Freeman in the lead role. His feature film ENGLAND IS MINE, a biopic based on the early life of popstar Morrissey, was released in cinemas worldwide this summer.

Meeting Dr. Linda Yueh, a Fellow in Economics at St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford, Adjunct Professor of Economics at London Business School, and Visiting Professor of Economics at Peking University.
Linda is a broadcaster, including for BBC Radio 4 and the World Service, and was the BBC’s Chief Business Correspondent and host of “Talking Business with Linda Yueh”, as well as Economics Editor at Bloomberg TV.
