Competition we’re running, over on DMS performance, get involved! 🏁😎

Yesterday, we spent the day with MAHA Dynamometers and J.Cal Ecu Calibration learning the techniques to run the MRS500 efficiently & effectively whilst obtaining repeatable results.
Running numerous cars throughout the day, with various training taking place, from mapping a stock facelift DC5 to running diagnosis & datalogging on an EP2 and learning how to handle automatics/torque converters with a Mercedes Vito van.
We’re now taking booking from the 10th December for power... runs/health checks, remapping and Hondata & stand-alone mapping with J.Cal.

Lovely BMW F30 320D in from Ellani Cars Ltd with the O/S self levelling/headlight adjustment in-op.
After some quick diagnosis, the fault was pretty evident.
No parts needed this time around, just a simple wiring repair & re-secure. Fault codes don’t always tell you the full story, it always pays to investigate rather than assume!

It’s been a massively busy week already for us, and we’re only half way through!
Here’s one from yesterday, a Volvo V70 in with a loss of power and a random loud clicking noise from the engine bay.
As you can see the gears have worn down to almost nothing, giving the ECU no control over the shut off valve.

Lovely Audi A5 in to diagnose an intermittent MOST/MMI issue.
The MMI would intermittently die or refuse to turn on, we were able to pin point the issue using a combination of main dealer tooling (ODIS) and our own expertise with these systems.
The fault turned out to be an issue with the multimedia system, this would then kill the fibre optic connection thus not allowing anything else ie, the Bluetooth, sat nav, MMI, telematics etc to operate correctly.

... After running through some tests, & ruling out various other thing we were able to pin point a breather system fault.

Honda Civic FN2 with us to diagnose and solve a gearbox issue.
The vehicle was recovered to us stuck in 4th, but the customer had been complaining of 3rd/4th crunching for awhile. After removing the selector shaft to investigate, we noticed the 3-4 selector had snapped.
We pulled the gearbox to fully inspect the internals for any other damage, luckily no other damage was done to the gearbox.
