Dog Friendly Wales Description

Craig Y Nos Castle is an approved tourist attraction in Wales. Built in Victorian times, the castle is a dog friendly hotel with nice, homely, cosy rooms full of Victorian antique furniture. We have family apartments , self-contained apartments and a self-catering farmhouse. Log fires in ground floor lounge rooms with Chesterfield chairs and sofas, a huge restored conservatory overlooking Brecon Beacons mountains and the glorious river below.

By all means bring a puppy to the Castle for Christmas - but remember a puppy is for life NOT just for Xmas.

Why not pop in to Craig Y Nos Castle for a midweek coffee, Cake or Sandwich - when the board is out, we will be making snacks from midday onwards - but because of weddings check before making a long journey call 01639 731167 for more info - hot chocolate and cake (any will do) is my favourite -M!chael

Millicent loved our 4 night break at Craig y nos, the grounds were beautiful and the lakes were put to good use! We had room 11 with a double and single bed and direct access into the courtyard. Breakfast was fab, Millie loved the sausages! Everyone was so friendly and helpful I absolutely loved the tour (upstairs is unbelievably spooky!) and the location is fabulous, in the four days we were there we visited the gower coast which was unspoilt uncommercialised and absolutely fabulous for Millie! At £250 it was the best holiday I've had in years and we had the weather with us too! The castle has everything you could want with a history (adelina patti the famous opera singer) and a wonderful gym and hot tub! Needless to say I will definitely be going to Craig-y-nos again, the journey from west mids to Craig y nos doesn't require a motorway and is very scenic so nothing negative AT ALL!! Woop woop, or should I say woof woof!!!

Just got back from a mid-week break with our two dogs - a young boisterous GSD cross and an older golden retriever and we all absolutely loved it. The castle was full of character and the setting spectacular. Everything was very relaxed with lovely walks for the dogs right outside the door. The pups were treated like valued guests and never made to feel a nuisance - getting their own little mats in the dining room and their own plate of sausage for breakfast. It was nice to be allocated the large, fabulous dining room with dogs, not shoved away in a corner. Really liked the fact that you could choose a room in advance which most suited your needs - not many hotels offer that luxury. With the great value mid week breaks it's a great chance for dog owners to enjoy something a bit special with their pups.

I stayed here over 2years ago with my boy Josh. It was great. Excellent value for money and I would highly recommend!

User

Home today after a 4 night stay. Both my boys are very tired with the great environment around the castle and the surrounding areas are just outstanding. The staff are all very friendly and definatley returning, as my dogs felt at home.
