Well here we are! One of the best days of the year - not only is it St David's Day but it's also Dolbryn's opening day for 2020. Here's to another fabulous and fun-filled season, we are really looking forward to welcoming you all. Happy camping 😍

Who are we? We aren't a faceless conglomerate; we aren't a massive organisation; we aren't a multi-million pound business only interested in the bottom line; we are not robots who do this job for the bonus at the end of the year...... Dolbryn is small and local; an independent caravan park and a family run business where all of us are involved. We are very proud to be so because that means we can run Dolbryn with tremendous care and passion that is often lacking in larger sit...es and holiday parks. We run Dolbryn with our hearts, so you'll find pieces of all of us in the way our little site is run and managed. 6 little days to go until we open! Cue more manic painting and cleaning (I know it sounds like we leave everything till the last minute.....would we??!) It's that time of year in the last few weeks before we open when we maniacally run around with scrubbing brushes and paint brushes, making everything spick and span before 1st March. Lisa and Scooby have come to help too but we're all slightly crazed by the rythym of the brushes..... brush, paint, clean, repeat, brush, paint, clean, repeat, Yeah, you get the picture! Not long to go 😁

The pods were getting a little bit of TLC today and a good wash ready for the 1st March; when the weather gets a little warmer they'll have a new coat of paint. Took a break from the painting, cleaning and maintenance to plant some trees this morning - what a lovely way to spend a few hours. We'd noticed quite a few ash saplings that had popped up around the toilet block so we dug them out and planted them properly up by the animals so that in a few years our furry friends will have some nice shade. Then we started off our orchard at the bottom of the vineyard- we plan to add to it but for now we've got apple, plum and pear trees. Bring on the crumbles 😂 And yes - Paul is STILL wearing shorts.... brrrrrr

Piggy update 🐷😍🐷 Gladys & Sandra are settling in really well. And they're LOVING the mud.... one good thing about all the rain I suppose!

What's that they say about breaking an egg to make an omelette 🙈 It's that time of year when we're all running about with a paintbrush and a mop and trying to get everything spruced up for 1st March. Got a bit of work to do still in the bar 😆 but eagle eyes might spot a new addition in the back bar, under all the chaos! 6 weeks and counting.......

And they're in 😁 Just in the nick of time for Christmas - Paul and Maggie are in their new extension. Total chaos everywhere else but there's a sofa for sitting with a g&t, a table for dinner and plenty of space for lots of happy memories 😍 All of us at Dolbryn would like to wish our lovely guests and friends a very happy Christmas and New Year.
