There is a triathlon event in Bala this weekend which will close part of the A494 on Saturday and Sunday, leading to long detours if you're heading down this way: Saturday July 7th - road is closed from Bala Leisure Centre to Glan-llyn campsite from 2:30pm to 7:30pm AND IT'S CHAOTIC AT THE MOMENT APPARENTLY. Sunday July 8th - road is closed from Bala Leisure Centre to Rhydymain from 9:30am to 1:30pm. A detour from Bala to Dolgellau would be to follow the A4212 via Capel Cely...n to Trawsfynedd and then south on the A470 to Dolgellau. It will add an extra 20 minutes to your journey time from Bala (about 45 mins in total). You may want to try the Llangower road around the lake, but be advised, in some places, the road goes down to single lane - you may be doing more reversing than going forward and it'll surely end in tears if you happen to meet someone towing a caravan in the opposite direction!

One of the stunning lakes in the area - Llynnoedd Cregennan. Western end of Cadair Idris. Well worth a visit. Lle bendigedig.

Myself and a few friends stayed at the campsite this weekend and even though it rained all weekend we had a fantastic time! Not far from Coed Y Brenin MTB trails and Llandegla :) thank you again! See you soon!
My favourite campsite! Returned this weekend, after six years away, with my sister and her three children - we all had a lovely time! Safe and fun for the kids, chilled and relaxed for us! The weather was amazing too! Will be back very soon for sure!
Lovely site, children thoroughly enjoyed playing by the river and on the numerous rope swings. Clean and tidy facilities.
Lovely campsite, run by lovely people! It's changed a lot since we came 9 years ago but for the better �
Have been coming to this place since I was 2 with my family now I bring my own family here after 28 years love it so peaceful and relaxing 5* always x
Great seasonal pitch. Clean and friendly.
Lovely site. Great for campers down by the river. Kitchen and TV room for campers. And shower block
