Dolgamedd Holiday Park

Love this place, been back countless times for over 20 years, lovely spot right by the river and you can cook your own foid on the fire pits provided. It has all the amenities needed for short or long stay, toilet, showers, wash room kitchen etc. No shop or entertainment but as a place to get away, not many better places.

Location and facilities are pretty good, the one thing that was a disappointment was constant harassment and accusations from the owner at the group of people I was with, the younger people that work on the site are fine. The place is clean, the showers/toilets are good, the place has a very relaxing/tranquil atmosphere but I'm not sure if I would visit again. Really would like to enjoy camping without any hassle really.

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend with a motorhome and a tent. Site was extremely busy. It is a lovely position and very relaxed without too many rules and regulations. Considering how many people were there the facilities were hardly adequate and not inspected often enough. The site is not policed by anyone and we observed just about every rule being broken without anyone enforcing them. We had 2 babies with us and they were awoken at night by the most ridiculous noise being made by teenagers running around and screaming outside the toilets kicking things and swearing at each other. I got out of bed eventually to go and confront them but another person beat me to it. The time was 12.30am not at all reasonable on a family site. This experience did make me wonder what we would have done if we had had an emergency as there didn't seem to be anyone available to help. Would maybe try this site again as it is a lovely position but definately not bank holiday.

We have been to this site on and off now for over 15 years.

Lovely friendly owner, and nice, clean facilities.

Tent camping is alongside the river, with fires allowed in designated fire pits, tables provided, and stands for barbecues.

Also a nice rope swing over the river, much enjoyed by my teenage daughter and friend.
