Very friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast which was quite nice. I didn't like the toast though, it was stodgy white sliced thick bread. We were not offered wholemeal which we would have preferred. Tea was very strong.

A nice and friendly place to stay. Rooms were basic but for the money was bang on. Breakfast was lovely and served promptly. The landlady and most of the staff were terrific. Locals were a little unfriendly to the English but wasn't too bothered. A few changes could be made such as our shower was a bit unpredictable as sometimes it worked and other times it just didn't and the tv just was impossible to watch! Overall I would give 8/10 because what was lacked in by needs met was presented by enthusiasm. The town was bleak as it was a little deselate and the locals seemed to have fun by pointing us in the wrong direction. Overall the whole stay was sweet but I would stay at another location next time visiting south Wales. This has no reflection on the actual stay at the dolphin hotel.

The check-in is easy, just go to the bar! The room was small, but it was perfectly fine for what we needed. The bathroom was modern, kind of a wetroom. Good shower. Loud music can be heard from the bar in the rooms on Friday and Saturday nights especially (the nights we were staying). The breakfast at the Dolphin is awesome! Quick as anything, and delicious!

Stayed for one night 13/07/2017 room very clean, location great, owners staff nothing to much trouble, breakfast was first class we would definitely recommend and stay in the future.

Nice friendly place with a wicked full breakfast.

Good value for money although be aware that live music may be played in the bar below. Make sure you're either dead tired or bring earplugs :) Staff was nice and helpful. Had to skip breakfast so can't comment on that. Has free private parking too.
