The bright light that was my mum left our world peacefully and gracefully as the sun set on April 6th. Mum touched the heart of every person she met and leaves behind her legacy of kindness, colour and love. Without mum's endless support, encouragement and 'can do' attitude, The Bug Farm would still be a figment of my imagination. Mum was an extraordinary person and leaves an extraordinarily large void in our lives. We are now taking time to heal, helped by our wonderful family of animals and the healing power of nature. We are going to plant a beautiful woodland in her memory ❤💙💚💛💜🌳

Alfie was looking forward to an #Easter holidays of people-watching from his windowsill in the office. In the absence of human visitors, we have made him a new chicken-watching windowsill in the house!

For the past 2 days, when I went into the field to give Barney, Noah and Brenda a hug and then sat down, Barney laid down right beside me (well, actually on my knees). It's like he knows that it's a tough time at the moment and I need a bit of comfort. I snuggled down and snoozed for half an hour with a Barney pillow. We are so, so lucky to have these beautiful boys (and Brenda) in our lives. Our life so much richer with them in it.

Barney and Noah's last ever bottle feed...to be fair, at 6 months old and still being able to suck from their mum and Auntie Beatrice AND having some calf nuts, it is well overdue! 😍
