Yesterday one of my friends got their locks!! 🥰😍🥳
She had been wearing braids for a while and decided to go for the locks!
I custom made her black to blues extensions in 100% human hair.
... As she had extremely thin, fine hair, I went for thin locks, for more volume and fullness, as she struggles to get that. (Extra photos showing how thin/ fine her hair is)
I personally think dreadlocks are perfect for her! It’l give her hair chance to gain thickness and length, of which she struggled with, especially with having the braids in and out every few months..
I locked up her hair, then added in the extensions (to the ends)
She. Looks. Incredible!!
She wanted it all to be a surprise, so she didn’t look in any mirrors until I was completely done! Which definitely added to the experience haha!
Once she eventually looked, she got so emotional 😭 🥰 it made me so happy and proud.. she couldn’t believe it was HER hair!! 🥰😭
She sooo kindly brought me over some gifts which made me emotional 😂🤷🏼‍♀️😭🥰 (PINK jumper and a BEE clock!!!) 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I cannot wait to see these mature and watch their journey 💗 😍😍

Yesterday’s second maintenance session with a friend 🥰🤩
It’s been quite a while since his last maintenance, so he was definitely needing it! 🤗
Whenever he shaves his sides, he tends to accidentally snip some locks off, so he refrained from doing his sides, and left them grow.
... So I used some of the hair to make better/ bigger sections for the back lot of locks, I also repaired some weak parts in them, and extended a couple slightly using 100% human hair.
Once I was done maintaining and repairing his locks, I tied them out the way, and carefully shaved his sides, tidying up his nape and sides.
His locks instantly looks and felt so much better!! It was so great to catch up! 🤗
He’s looking so fresh now!

Yesterday’s installation session!! 🥳 (Installation with custom made, 100% human hair dreadlock extensions)
It was a long day for us both!
... This lovely lady got a Ferry from the Isle Of Wight just to get her dream locks done by myself! 🥰🥰
She woke at 4am to leave for the Ferry, eventually getting to me at about 10:30 in South Wales!
We’d spoken a lot beforehand about her locks. She had them for years before, but her sections caused her too many problems, so she cut them off and found me to re-install a fresh new set, with better sectioning. 🥰
We went for thin to medium for a lot of fullness and coverage, and plenty of locks! 😍 She explained she didn’t want any sort of ‘parting’ at the front (like a full middle parting etc) so we done brick work all the way up. Which was perfect for the layout of her head/ hair!
It was great to learn about life on the Isle Of Wight!

She suffers with psoriasis so her scalp is naturally very tender (I feel you!) so I tried to leave the roots a little looser than usual, and was sure to be as gentle as I could when sectioning etc.
The length is perfect for her!
She also got a few braids added in, of which I locked to her hair. (Locked the extension to her little lock, and braided the rest of the loose hair from the extension. She knows she will have to unbraid these and re braid to stop them from looping and locking up.
She’s so happy with her new locks! She looks amazing!! 🤩 I’m looking forward to getting more updates of her hair as time goes on. She will be doing her own maintenance, as it’s a tad far for regular maintenance by myself.

Today’s installation session 🥳
This lovely lady had been wanting locks for years! And finally today, she got them!
She brought along some synthetic extensions (15) and asked what I could do with them, so I said I could place them at the nape of the head more so, I ended up installing 14 extensions to her half head,... giving her a longer look, and these can be wrapped around to form a bun. *these can be removed at any time for a change of extension, or full removal, and more added if wanted.*
She said they were better than she ever expected! 🥰🥰 she was so happy with her new locks! 🥳
They suit her soo well! I can’t wait to see them in a few months time to see how they’re doing! 😍

Today’s maintenance session with a new client! 🥳 🤗
She’d previously had them installed elsewhere, but wasn’t completely happy with the work done, so sought me out for help and advise etc.
She had 18 locks for her half head. As I looked through to tidy them up and section them up, I noticed the sections didn’t lay well, and found random locks in random places, but it was easily sortable!
... I brushed out 3 locks and put the hair into the other locks (where they were meant to be) I straightened up her sections, so she has a clear definitive stop point for her locks and loose hair, thus being more comfortable and looking a lot cleaner.
She mentioned wanting a full fringe (bangs) but didn’t want to go to a hairdresser just for a fringe cut, and didn’t have anyone else to help her out, so I asked if she wanted me to trim her some fringe in. (Free of charge!)
She absolutely loved them immediately! It suits her sooo well! 🥰😍
She’s so happy with her freshly maintained locks, AND her new doo! 🥰🤩 she looks fabulous!
She has put her deposit down for some (15) custom made human hair extensions! So I’m super looking forward to installing those!! 😍😍 such beautiful colour hair, too!

Today’s maintenance session!
His first maintenance since installation! 🥳 (3month old locks)
They’re looking as expected! ... So fluffy!
Before the first maintenance, they tend to get very ‘loose’ and fluffy, I reminded my client not to panic at their installation, as this is a normal process of new locks.
Now after the first maintenance, they’re much tighter, denser and look much older (more mature)!

Today’s installation session!
She’s been so excited! 🥳
She brought along some synthetic extensions for me to permanently install into her hair.
... She explained that she loves the fact that I provide a product free service 🥰
I locked her hair up, and added the extensions to the ends.
The pink extensions weren’t crocheted (just twisted and sealed) so I locked those up better once installed onto the end.
The pink gives a lovely scattered pop effect through the locks! 🤩🤩
She brought along two different tones of silver/ grey. (Which was so perfect!)
I kept her fringe out and some little side bits to finish her look. She’s still deciding what to do with her fringe/ bangs at the moment, I.e trim it grow them longer, so left that for her to decide 🙂 (as I offered to give it a trim Incase she wanted)
She absolutely loves her new locks!! They suit her so well! 😍
She can change up her extensions whenever she feels, or remove them if wanted. At any point. 🙂

Today’s second maintenance session on these 4-5month old locks! (Just the top) he told me today he has 48!! 😱🤯
His hair grows extremely fast! His last session was in November (his first maintenance session) and his hair has grown at least 2 inches since! 🤯
He started with just the little dark bits 4/5 months ago 😂🥳

Yesterday’s session also! With her partner!
He’d never had any maintenance on his locks (made by his partner) (over a year old locks)
I was asked to separate the locks at the roots, so make smaller sections, so I split a few locks (not all the way) so they can grow out separately. ... These can be fully separated at any time also. (But he didn’t want to be sat for long I think, haha)
Nice neat, tidy sections, and tightened up tidy locks 🙂

Lock splitting and repair.
1 lock, into two. Before and after maintenance on them.

Yesterday’s session!! 🥳 with my longest-locked client! Her locks are 14 years old, she said she made them in 2006!
Unfortunately the ends keep breaking away, and she’s losing length! They’d be sprawling on the floor otherwise! 😭
... She gets once a year maintenance with me, and has been doing so for about 3 years now.
This time around, she brought along some hair she chopped off her head 35 YEARS AGO! (Aged 15!) She’d been keeping it for that long! It was in perfect, clean condition, very strong hair!
She wanted me to use that to straighten her ends up, which was such a perfect plan and use for her shorn hair!
She much prefers her thinner locks, so if I found a bigger sized lock within, I split the whole lock down the middle to the ends, creating two thinner locks. (Will post video of one I did) I ended up doing this to quite a few.
She had a few extremely thin ones also, so I strengthened those, and combined a few tiny ones together.
There was plenty of new growth and some matting to be separated and cleaned up.
She showed me how she’d been trying to save her locks from losing length (paper clips)- I couldn’t help but laugh! 😭😂 I removed the paper clips and repaired the breakages. *in photos*
She also brought her partner along for some maintenance on his locks! *photos after!*

Today’s maintenance session with a new client!
She’s due to give birth any day now, and really wanted to have all tidy, neat locks for when she’s giving birth and baby is here etc.
She would usually do them herself, but hasn’t done so for the last 2 years, originally freeformed (4 years ago) and as she’s pregnant, didn’t fancy holding her arms up for hours🤷🏼‍♀️😂
... She had soooo much loose hair! All of her nape was loose, so I made new baby locks from that.
I se-sectioned her locks slightly for better comfort and formation of the locks and combined a few extremely thin ones.
She has very soft, fine, light-weight hair.
She’s very happy with her locks! Her locks are much more noticeable now! 🥳
Maintenance helps keep health and thickness to your locks, especially to certain hair textures, if left too long, they can become very thin and break away. (This can all be fixed!)
