Druidstone Hotel Description

The house was the family home in 1972 when Rod and Jane Bell opened it to guests. Stone built around 1850 and substantially altered towards the end of the 1890’s. The house stands in 20 acres of wild garden on the cliff above the safe, sandy beach of Druidston Haven.

The ecological wood pellet heated house now has eleven bedrooms, most of which have sea or garden views. Five rooms have private facilities, showers, bathrooms or lavatories. The other six rooms share three bathrooms in the tradition of a typical family holiday house. The new rooms on the second floor have full private facilities and panoramic views of the bay from their shared balcony. The dining room, sitting room and cellar bar open onto terraces and grassy slopes overlooking the sea. Children and pets are made welcome and the atmosphere encourages visitors to treat the place as a second home. Books and maps are available and there is plenty of information on the locality. There is a separate television room and the regeneration of the original family Farmhouse Kitchen provides a Rayburn heated room with a large oak table suitable for use as a private dining room for up to ten. This Farmhouse Kitchen is also used for children’s supper at 6. 00 p. m. each evening.

spent a very relaxing chilled out two days at this quirky place, so laid back with friendly staff. You also have the bonus of being able to walk the Pembrokeshire coastal path. Had lunch and dinner at the Dru and both were excellent.....and the sunset was amazing. Stayed in the South Roof Room, with an awesome view from the bed, it had a shared balcony with the North Roof Room....great shower too, but don't walk out in the altogether cos you might scare the other guests next door if they are on the balcony. Quite pricey room rate, but worth it for a special occasion ......don't bother looking for a television or a lift to the top floor, you have to climb two flights of stairs and entertain yourself....but that is nor difficult at the Dru .....!

You hosted the best Christmas party ever, thank you! Not only did you allow our quite frankly amazing panto performance but you served a delicious three course feast for 40+ people. A beautiful venue with fabulous staff. Three cheers for you all

We will return...

We just wanted to thank The Druidstone from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding weekend so perfect & special. It was everything we dreamed of and so much more!!

Your staff are incredibly professional, friendly and go out of their way to help - just outstanding! Every single person we had dealings with.

The wedding food was the best food I have ever tasted!!! A gastronomic delight! At least 10 of the guests said that it was the best wedding food they had ever had & a number thought it was the best food they had ever had.

The general atmosphere was stunning too helped along nicely by the brilliant sunshine and amazing band we hired after your suggestion The Sunhillows - WOW!!!

We are already so looking forward to coming back to the hidden treasure that is the Druidstone very soon.

Thank you for everything!

We found this little jewel yesterday after our daughter went riding on the beach. So bohemian and laid back but excellent service. The weather was gorgeous and the views fantastic but I would love to go back on a rainy day, sit in the lounge and look out the large windows. A wonderful place!

Utterly unique. Every inch of it is a pleasure.

Simply the best!!

I have been going to the Dru for over 40 years and find it difficult to put into words just what a magical place this is - if you like cool and laid back mixed together with dogs, children, millennials, musicians, artists, fresh local food, one of the best beaches in Wales, fab garden, tunes, probably the best bar in the world, stunning views, wildlife, friendly staff and clients alike, I could go on.....

Then this is the place for you!!

I can't recommend the Druidstone Hotel highly enough. I've just spent 3 nights there with my family. I was so impressed by the courteous and helpful attitude of every member of staff I dealt with. The room was very comfortable and was the quitest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The hotel itself is very cool and stylish and a relaxing place to spend time in. Food is of a very high standard and the bar is full of character. The location of the hotel overlooking Druidston beach is incredible and enjoying a drink outside the bar whilst watching the sunset over the sea was a treat.

User

Fantastic location. Staff are really friendly and has a great vibe about it that you just can't buy. Loved it, Loved it, Loved it.

User

Fantastic atmosphere. Great views and Sunday lunch really amazing

User

Eclectic and friendly pub with great views over the bay. Told the barman we’d cleared some plastic bottles and a huge tangle of rope off the beach and he knocked some money off our drinks. Don’t all try it though!

User

2nd best pub ever. Love it and got engaged here. Know I'm on holiday when I have my first pint looking at the view one could never tire of. Don't change anything

User
