We looked Dylan's up on google and thought we would give it a go, parked in the small town lots of free car parks, rocked up and ordered drinks and looked at the menu my two sons and i had The Dylan's burger and my wife had the steak baguette the food was freshly made as my wife saw the lady cooking it for us, she even made some Jack Daniels sauce for my son, the food was really cooked perfectly and great flavors, the portion size was fantastic, we finished our meal and sat out the back the new owner came and chatted with us he had only taken the place over a couple of weeks before, and recommended some great places to visit ......... thanks we did

Booked for a party of 21 of us and considering we had 7 kids with us some who were toddlers & wouldn't sit still, the staff were very understanding & friendly. We didn't wait long for our food, and when it arrived it was perfect . So thank you so much we will be back.

User

Awesome atmosphere last night with Mike dee jay. Great to see so many people enjoying. A delicious hog roast followed by 1 or 2 or many more jugs of cocktails. Loved it. Previously been for food and once again I am very impressed. The owner Jules, what a guy. Made us feel at home from the first time we visited and this has resulted in many visits since. Many more visits in the future.

Popped into Dylan's for a Christmas catch up with friends over the weekend, I've eaten here before and it's always been good, the Chinese chicken curry and rice was great value for money as the portions were pretty substantial, staff were friendly and informed us we had to pay at the bar while ordering which made it easier as we were preferring to pay separately - a pleasant experience and will certainly be eating here again

User

I had breakfast here with 2 of my friends yesterday morning in all the food was lovely .But wasn't happy the way the girl behind the bar was talking she had a mouth like a potty . Her language was terrible and when she served us our drinks she keep on with the f word I am one to use the f work a lot but when I'm in work I'm professional. so I think your staff should be not looking good for the buissnes

User

First visit since under new management. Booked table so approached bar to ask where our table was. Told to sit anywhere in the middle. Only 2 x 4 seater tables to choose from. Found the lady unhelpful and rude.

Ordered food at bar. Food was ok nothing special. No one asked how food was.

Found it very unprofessional of the new owner to be having heated discussion with kitchen staff in the restaurant regarding a lasagne which wasn't undercooked. There's a time and place for that. Maybe in the kitchen where customers don't hear that. Then raising his voice regarding who was in the kitchen tonight cooking.

Went for works Christmas meal.. Staff forgot we were coming it seemed (even though confirmed night before ) no tablecloth,no crackers, not enough cutlery ... starters were awful.mains veg hard and undercooked . Dessert of trifle was a tasteless jelly with custard skin on and squirty cream .Back doors were opened right by us .because of Smoke from kitchen, when one of our party then closed the doors ,as it was December and cold ,we were approached by the manager ,his attitude was discusting, telling us dud we want fire alarms to go off to which we replied Havnt you got extractor fans .apparently they font work very well .Get a grip Dylan's you're supposed to be a restaurant welcoming customers A change of attitude ftom so called manager woukd be a start

Came on Xmas eve and wasn't good. Friend posted a review and was publically attacked before his review was deleted. Then Dylan's attacked him on a separate review which I commented on. That was then also deleted.

I ordered a medium rare ribeye steak. It arrived well done. My chips were dry. Whilst sat at our table we overheard the owner mocking another tables complaints that their chips were also dry. (Very professional)

The peppercorn sauce I ordered had a thick film on the top like rice pudding has. It was almost jelly like in consistency when it 'glooped' out of the gravy boat. The boys who had poached eggs said they were very runny and almost raw. Complaints WERE made to staff about the mixed grills that were ordered but no apologies were forthcoming. And no, not EVERYONE cleared their plates as you previously claimed.

I feel it very unfair that you accept reviews but delete them when you don't find them favourable. Please just accept that you had a "bad day" and will learn from it. Otherwise what is the point of accepting feedback?

Went for christmas dinner with two ladys on christmas day we did not have what we ordered veg was under cooked the sweet was like pigs swill wont be going there again they need Gordon ramsie to show them how to cook

Went for a Sunday lunch with family was served smash and Garvey granules there were dogs in the restaurant as we was disappointed myself asked to speak to the manager the customer service was awful! The lady who dealt with the complaint refused to refund all meals just one! Her tone and the way she spoke was out of tune and literally wanted to argue with myself in front of a restaurant full of people the lady in question is Sue and her professionalism is non existent literally wouldn’t have served the food to the dog that was in the restaurant at the time! Food and customer service very poor wouldn’t recommend anyone to waste their money.

User

The place is gone down hill since the new management. He is an arrogant horrible man with no morals, only thinks of money.

He treats his customers as bad as he treats his staff not to mention having dogs roam freely within the restaurant and kitchen which is obviously completely unhygienic. Not to mention the price being massively more than it should be.

He dismissed a lady I know who has been a good worker there for over a year just because she is pregnant and didn’t want to pay her maternity pay, which she is fully entitled to. The way he went about it so wrong and citizens advice has been informed.

I’d give it less than a 1 star if there was an option. It’s such a shame because it’s a beautiful building just run by a completely clueless management who is without a doubt going to run it into the ground soon.

Don’t waste your money, there are a lot more pleasant places locally, where you will feel more welcomed and have better food. (which cost half the price!)

I’ll never visit here again and I’ll make sure that I get the word out how bad a place it is to ensure no one else goes here too.

User

The dog hair and a blend of dog piss/smell in a public place where people frequent to consume food and drink is the brainchild of the new management and an insult to local people having to be faced with eating alongside smelly dirty dogs. To make matters worst, the new management has decided to employ a chef!! Who produces food only fit for dogs. I think the new management should listen to all the locals who protest against his regime and not take such an arrogant position, however the new management can do what they like, just the same as his former customers.

User

I went there with family members today for lunch and I can honestly say it’s the absolute worse food I have ever been presented.

Cottage Pie was just cheese topped mash and the meat inside would have fitted on a dessert spoon. The chips were so burned they didn’t even look like chips. The meal advertised beans but came with peas.

My sister had Steak & Ale Pie which contained just 2 pieces of meat and loads of mushrooms. Plus it was burned. Chips also cremated.

My hubby had something that was supposed to be Balti but was like old bits of meat in some sort of gravy mixture with curry flavour. Chips also cremated.

Brother in law meal was dry piece of chicken and yes you guessed it, cremated chips. When I complained the staff member was not in the least bit interested.

I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN

User

I have never been to a worse restaurant.

The smell of fat, oil and grease stings your eyes as you walk in!!!

I ordered a pizza vegetarian, burnt, a tomatoe was just cut in half and chucked on top greasy mushrooms and presentation was awful!!

The service is without a smile, please, thank you and your lucky not to have a knife chucked in your lap when collecting plates.

Please don’t go - where is Gordon Ramsey when you need him !!!!

User

Cold dry breakfast absolutely disgusting never will I give these people my money again I'd rather eat a dead rat

User

Booked here with 5 friends for a meal and a few pints on Xmas eve.

I've eaten here on a few occasions previously & it's always been good, however today was a different matter.

All of us picked the mixed grill at £17.95,we were soon told that one of the items on the menu wasn't available with the meal, not a problem at all.

We soon worked out we'd have to order & pay at the bar as no member of staff told us otherwise.

I should have known things had taken a downward turn when I heard the owner mocking the table in front who'd complained about their meal, still, not the end of the world.

When our food arrived the bowl of chips arrived, dark brown and around 7 in number.

The fried egg was still clucking,I like a runny yolk but the whole thing was half cooked, you knew eating this was a recipe for a night on the toilet.

I bit into the piece of pork to taste a horrible bitterness,it had gone off,as hungry as I was I wasn't about to take another bite. The small steak was inedible as it was pure grissle and impossible to cut up.

Really the height of this meal was the 5 slices of mushroom that was the only edible thing on the plate.

I really am not one to complain but I can honesty say that it was the worst meal I've ever (tried) to eat in a restaurant.

As the overworked waitress took our full plates back she asked how our meal was we told her it was awful, poor girl didn't bat an eyelid.

I can honesty say if I hadn't already paid they wouldn't have had a penny off me.

I'll never eat here again as long as I live, the final kick in the teeth was the score of 1 on the food rating on the rear entrance door.

Do yourself a favour,don't eat at Dylan's.
