Dynea Neighbourhood Watch Description

Dynea Neighbourhood Watch is a group run by 10 dedicated volunteers living within the Dynea area of Rhydyfelin.

We are committed to making our community a safer and more pleasurable place to live, by working in a pro-active manner, rather than a re-active manner.

Who we are?

We are a group of volunteers who work together to make a difference within our community. We are a proactive rather than reactive not for profit group, whose aim is to turn our streets back into a community. We hold monthly evening meetings at Rhydyfelin Children Centre in Holly Street where anyone can come along and hear what we have planned and how they could get involved.

The Neighbourhood Policing team along with Hafod Housing staff are on hand to discuss any concerns that you may have about your community.

Our aim is to turn "Streets into a Community"

Why we do it?

We run the Dynea Neighbourhood Watch group because we want to bring people from across Rhydyfelin together and improve social cohesion. We want to help residents to tackle ASB in the community. We also want to encourage local people to work together for mutual benefit. Our main aim is “Turning Streets into a Community”. We work in partnership with other agencies to help reduce crime and the fear of crime.

What have we done?

By working together we have been able to gain funding to organise a variety of community activities and trips. These activities and trips have allowed families to spend time together and experience new and exciting things at a very low cost.

We have already run trips to West Midland Safari Park which was a fantastic day out, and a trip to Tenby beach was run with everyone who attended having an amazing day.
