Went there last night and had the fish and chips. Couldn't fault it, the fish was perfect. The batter had no hard, crunchy bits that were inedible like I've had in other pubs. Polished the lot off.

A wonderful evening spent here tonight for our staff christmas party. We were made to feel so welcome, the staff were very attentive and couldnt do enough for us. Made us feel special. The meals were great and service was excellent. Highly reccomend this friendly place for a top time ’┐Į

Nice pub, pleasant atmosphere, nice and friendly staff. I've lived in Swansea all my life now 56 year old and never visited, I will from now on. Food was lovely and our steaks cooked exactly how we wanted.

Looking forward to another visit on our monthly shop in the big city.

Food was lovely and was served quickly, I ordered the mix grill which included included steak, gammon, chicken breast and sausage. I was served by a lady who was very friendly and welcoming. The venue itself is Welsh pub through and through, in the middle of Swansea.

Was visiting swansea for the weekend so didn't know our way around very well this was near our hotel so thought why not nip in for something to eat. Seemed to b busy full of regulars,got a table and ordered our food,lasagne and gammon. Food came in about 20/25 minutes and looked ok,when I dug into my lasagne was a bit burnt in places but most of it was OK,garlic bread wasn't cooked enough for me n the side salad was a bit of mixed leaves grated carrot and cabbage the gammon came with eggs chips n peas,chips were lovely eggs were OK,peas were undercooked and the gammon was a bit grisly. We got 2 meals for ┬Ż7.99 so suppose u get what u pay for

Lovely food, but very slow service. Portion sizes weren't the biggest and our dessert was changed without us being informed first but we didnt really mind. Staff were lovely though and did make a big effort to help customers

Food value was great for the money, the staff I must say were very low on morale and really seemed as if they just didn't want to be there and when your going in to eat alone you expect the staff to be a bit more assertive, so after the poor service I thought to myself lets use the pub Wi-Fi which was conveniently down no apology from the staff at all just a case of "Wi-Fi down " thank God for 4g Wi-Fi on EE is so fantastic got me through the not very welcoming staff so anyone who looking for service at it's best I strongly recommend you stay clear of this place but on the postive cheap not so cheerful but a great choice of larger is what attracted me to stay Amstel and what a pleasant brew which along with the curly fries and succulent chicken in bbq sauce with chesse and bacon but the amazing part of this meal was it was southern fried lush I was almost tempted to lick the plate. So on the whole a great value pub meal just don't expect friendlies from the staff and make sure if your going alone you have 4g Wi-Fi in the terms of your contract or if your on payg please buy add on ’┐Į

Waited forever for food...when it came the mash was stuck to the plate..flat.. and hard.. asit was microwaved.. cumberland sausages were nice to be fair. Peas were bloody hard.. onion gravy? Nope.. no onion gravy.. wont be coming here again.. have they changed chefs or whaaaaa???

Sticky tables, burnt burger with tiny bit of very limp lettuce in it, ok for a quick bite to eat maybe but not a place to go to for an evening meal

Garlic bread with cheese ordered....came but with No cheese !!

Jacket potato. Cheese & beans ordered...came with hard potato burnt beans and cherizo !!! Something like that...sausage on it where the hell did that come !!!! So that went back too....and heh ho toilets need to be cleaned every hour no toilet roll in ladies at all !!! Wasnt impressed been back and for there years and really gone down hill..wont be going back

Food was ok but 2 of the 4 orders we placed came out with wrong items or missing items. When mentioned we order pineapple ’┐Į not egg on the gammon they had the nerve to ask us for 75p extra when we just spend nearly ┬Ż40.

Service needs some work guys and simple things like this stop people returning.

Worst meal I've ever had. The chicken was so dry and was grey in colour it was as if it had been cooked a week previous and then microwaved. I looked closer and noticed mold!!! Not happy will never go there again!! Really ill now.

Went for breakfast there, it says on the menu that you can have a pot of tea, when I went to order it turned out its only a cup of tea so we ordered two traditional breakfasts

Waited ages for the food to come, when it did it was missing the tomato and a hash brown

Took a bite of the bacon and it was freezing as were the beans. Called the boy over and explained, he said sorry for the missing tomato and did we want an extra hash brown ? But as I pointed out, there was one missing anyway!!! Food came back and they had obviously just warmed it in the microwave

It was absolutely disgusting!!!! The fried eggs I could have used as cricket balls they were solid, and the mushroom was tough as an old boot.

I wasted mine totally as it was inedible and my hubby only managed the cold toast as he was hungry

Never ever will go there again

Unimpressed with the service today, ordered pancakes with maple syrup at breakfast and they arrived with bacon. After explaining to the waiter I am vegetarian, he said he'd get them sorted for me and a 'new' plate arrived without bacon. After 1 bite it was clear they had just taken the bacon off the same pancakes, the taste was obvious. Waiter claimed they were new pancakes but they were obviously not so they didn't get eaten. What a waste of money, don't advertise vegetarian options if you can not provide them.

Terrible we ordered food on Saturday afternoon the pub was quiet waited 40 minutes asked staff wher it was they said a load had been sent down from kitchen. The food was Luke warm Steak & Chips and the Rump was tough. In a rush as we were off to a show so couldn't send back! Lots of couples walked out as when trying to order the bar staff were ignoring them. Think it needs a good manager to run the pub and sort it out. We would like a refund please contact me ASAP.

Hard to know where to start. Food was cold and looked like it had been cooked last week. Girl who served us was ill mannered and didn't wanna know when we complained about food. Meal was replaced the chicken wasn't cooked properly myself and the only other person who eat chicken both experienced stomach cramps and sickness the night after eating it. Beer was to warm staff in general were very rude and abrupt.

The place is a he'll hole.

On the positive side one of the ladies that was out with us is a professional food critic so I'm sure our visit is gonna cost them dearly.

Stay away from this dump.

Had my works xmas meal last night had to send my starter back as it was not cooked in the middlei had Crispy crummed camambert.. Then the main come paid extra for pig in blankets only got one so asked for more. As it was a extra ┬Ż1.50 They was happy to get me more but they was not cooked and was stone cold in the middle...... had my ┬Ż1.50 back but got diarrhoea.. maybe a call to health and safety..

Disgraceful. Arrived on my own for 3 weeks training and within 5 minutes was threatened my some drunken disgusting woman. To be fair the management apologised but perhaps she shouldn't have been allowed in there in the first place. My company who are Swansea based will not be recommending this place.
