Another from the past couple of weeks. Family wanted more room in the garden for the kids to play , this sloped area was a waste of space. Forming a solid retaining wall using 150x150 treated posts faced with railway sleepers is a modern and cost effective way this, uncovering a unexpected live drainage system forced us to change the design slightly which resulted in installing a small rockery filled with golden gravel. Hi guys, as your all aware of the current situation, we are very limited to what we can do due to the builders merchants closing until further notice. I AM STILL TAKING ON WORK , you can send me pictures and measurements and what you require doing and we can go from there and get you booked in for when This has all blown over. A recent one from over the Christmas period. The customers rear garden wall collapsed due to drainage issues, tree stumps and poorly built walls. Almost 100 tonnes later ,the area has been cleared and gabion baskets with dressed stone have been erected. Using Gabions is an effective way of forming a retaining wall with added drainage .the side wall also needing support due to the removal of the existing supportive wall ,I’ve used H and U beam steals with railway sleepers to form a solid retaining wall.
