Elizaphant & Bumps Description
Every dream has a beginning and this is our story- "elizaphant & bumps, bit of a unique name but we love it and wanted to be unique right from the very start. Having worked in child care for 15 years and with my enthusiasm for buying thoughtful gifts for those I love most, I left my job in March 2014 and together with my Partner, we decided to fulfil a lifelong ambition of setting up a Baby and Children's gift shop that captures the innocence and joy of early childhood. As rewarding as my job was as a Nursery Advisor, we set out to create a small family business that offers a stylish, inspiring and fun range of affordable gifts. The thing I miss most about being a child is the magic of make believe and the simple yet memorable things that happen in life, so continuing to use the knowledge and experience I gained throughout my career 'elizaphant & bumps' is born- literally!
Our logo shows the main instigators behind the name and probably our main target market. To avoid any confusion the name was inspired by the trumpeting and busy mind of Eliza; Nick's 3 year old Daughter, the playful things our family and elephants love as well our growing 'Bump' who also loves surprises (we found out we were expecting at 24 weeks) We chose distinctive elephants and the use of colour to compliment the happiness of those precious first years and to provide a shopping experience that is second to none. We believe if families are looking for something very special and unique for themselves, or a loved one, elizaphant and bumps is definitely an elephant ride worth taking; where all they can think about is us and our stylish products. We hope all our customers enjoy giving our gifts as much as we enjoy selling them!
You can find us situated amongst a parade of shops in Neath Town Centre, South Wales at number 10 Angel Street. You can't miss us we're grey like an elephant with big beautiful window displays. We love our shop and specialise in children's clothing , educational toys and meaningful keepsakes for each precious milestone from bump, birth and beyond. As new parents of a wonderful 'lil-phant (bump) we want families to enjoy their experience as much as we do and leave with a trunk entwining smile and gifts that will be cherished for a long time! After all an elephant never forgets and we pride ourselves on sourcing the best brands and selling beautiful products we would absolutely love to own ourselves.
In addition to selling gifts for many special occasions we have a specialised area for breastfeeding mums with nappy change facilities as well as an area to host the most ever popular baby showers for family and friends. We want to give our customers the chance to make their time with us even more special for them and their 'lil phants' by showering them with perfect gifts, treasured keepsakes and truly unique and thoughtful presents".

It is with a heavy heart that we must share the sad news of elizaphant and bumps closing it's doors at Number 10 Angel Street Neath. Our last trading day will be Saturday 16th April 2016. We're not sure if you were aware but the building has been up for sale for several months. Being new business owners and due to current family commitments we were not in the position to buy which led to the sale of the property this month. Where as we rented previously unfortunately this ...option is not available as it has been sold to an established business that has decided to re locate. The past few weeks has been a difficult time for us as we deliberate the direction of our future but we have however been looking for suitable/ alternative premises. To date, we have not been lucky enough; however we are keeping our eyes peeled. Although we hope that we can find a new home for elizaphant and bumps, at this stage it is important to say If or how long this could take so we will keep you up to date on here. However, in the meantime we are still open and have this page, which from tomorrow we will update with daily images of the same great range of children's clothing, educational toys and meaningful keepsakes for each precious milestone from bump to birth and beyond. In the meantime, we would like to thank everyone for their custom, support and kind words since we opened our doors in July 2014. It has been a 'phantastic' experience and we thank everyone who has made this dream possible- we are extremely grateful to our amazing family and friends who have supported us with their time and for helping to look after Charlie and Eliza whilst we work. A big thank you to our loyal and regular customers for your support because none of this would of been possible without you. We are extremely sad to leave Angel Street as it is a lovely Street with very friendly and supportive business owners that we now class as 'friends'. We are hugely grateful for your ongoing support and will keep you up to date on the future of elizaphant and bumps. Best Wishes Nick and Rachel X

Yes there isn't enough words to describe how much we all love her and how much we're proud of her! This past year I am completely humbled by the outpouring of love and strength with which she takes on in her challenges- a caring and selfless person within and without. She truly is the embodiment of resilience and the rock of our family, and as I am now a Mother myself, I am incredibly confident knowing she is, and always will be, part of me. So pleased that at last there is a fabulous shop in Neath. Visited today and couldn't resist buying something. A lovely welcoming shop with gifts for everyone. My little girl didn't want to leave and is still taking about the ice cream and pizza sets. Will definitely call in again this week. Hope it's very successful. X
