Elwy Working Woods

We are co-operative based in North Wales which aims to combine affordable housing with jobs based on the management of neglected local woodlands.

Elwy Working Woods is a co-operative committed to managing the woodland surrounding the picturesque Elwy valley.
We are a group of professionals doing a range of woody things from saw-milling, traditional timber framing, basket making, charcoal burning and firewood, tree planting and forestry. Our eventual aim is to build beautiful timber framed houses from our own wood, fueled entirely from our own logs. So far we have 12 members but we're always looking for more.
