Emerge Community Arts

We provide music and performing arts workshops and projects in the community. Rydym yn darparu gweithdai prosiectau, cerddoriaeth a pherfformio celfyddydol yn y gymuned.

Emerge Community Arts delivers Interactive Music, Drama and Meditation sessions to children, young people and adults who are on the Autistic spectrum or have learning /mental /physical disabilities. Working closely with a social worker in Liverpool, these fully inclusive sessions are also open to siblings, parents and carers to promote positive interaction between and within families and provide a regular support network for those who otherwise feel isolated in the community. Sessions use the performing arts and creative communication to encourage and develop friendships, build a community for the people who attend and enable people to learn and develop skills in communication, interaction and confidence. Skills learned enrich participant’s lives far beyond the time attending the workshops. Workshops promote fun, expression and provide people with a real sense of belonging. What makes us unique is everyone that attends, no matter what ability is able to truly participate and interact with peers.
Current Performing Arts Projects include the Music Makers. Based in a beautiful church on Penny Lane in the heart of South Liverpool Liverpool, Music Makers has been running successfully for 12 years. Due to popular demand, new projects are going to be delivered in North Liverpool, Wirral, Cheshire and North Wales from September 2014.
Currently running Music, Drama and Meditation workshops, there is also opportunities for people to get involved in band workshops or gain some support and advice around communication from people working in the field of Autism and learning difficulties.
