Y’all know the truth!

Coming off the bench right now. 1970(ish!) Telecaster. Refretted, and zombie bridge pickup rewound and sounding sweet. Not Fender’s golden era, but there’s a few sweet ones, and this one is back from the dead!

There’s a right way to string a guitar, and then there’s this way. Wrong. Just wrong. Not a choice, it’s a mistake!

Three years since doing my first pickup rewind. Steep learning curve!

So Gibson has a new CEO, and he’s spent 6 years as CEO at Levi’s. skipping past the tabloid-level puns about denim finishes, the new guy has a good history in building or re-building prestige brands. He’s also mad keen on vintage Gibsons, as is at least one of the other new people. This might actually lead to a return to decent quality, traditional guitars without gimmicks and ill-conceived innovations. What do we think? (No denim gags, please!!)
