It really bugs me that I have to give one star as our experience deserves minus five.
We reserved a Mercedes on the Evans Halshaw move me closer scheme. I contacted the dealership in Leeds, where the car was originally for sale, the day after I reserved it and was told it was already in transit. A week later after hearing nothing, I contacted Evans Halshaw Citroen Cardiff where the car was going to be delivered and it still hadn't arrived. Eventually it was discovered the car was still in Leeds and the logistics company had been told they couldn't take it. Nobody could tell us why. After some chasing the car arrived in Cardiff and we had an appointment to view it at 11.30am. We arrived a little early and the salesman dealing with the car left us with a new salesman and was only ready to talk to us an hour and a half later. During that time while we were outside in the wet and cold we discovered the car had a very recent and very poor repair to the rear end, badly aligned bumper and dents at the rear of the roof, all missed by salesman who inspected the car when it arrived in Cardiff who told us the car was immaculate and unmarked before we viewed it.
We were told the car would probably be taken to their body shop and repaired properly, but approval would have to be authorised by a manager.
The following day I attempted to speak to the salesman to find out what had been decided.
I phoned three times and left two messages to phone us back. Next day I phoned five times and left three requests for a call back and sent an email. Nothing. Same next day and still no response. Eventually we contacted Evans Halshaw head office to complain and today received a call back from them. Basically they just emitted a load of bullshite and feeble excuses and couldn't care less.
The final insult from this manager was being informed that when the car returned from the body shop if we still wanted to purchase it we would probably have to pay a HIGHER PRICE!!!!
If you want to be IGNORED or LIED to by a dealer that hasn't a clue how to treat customers then deal with Evans Halshaw Citroen Cardiff.
If you want proper customer care and service then go elsewhere.

We've asked for a cat to be brought for us from another dealer (willing to buy it) we had to call the place couple of times to find out of the car arrived, probably because they where not happy with us because we where buying it cash and not with finance, than when we arrived to see the car, the person was really keen to go home, instead of talking to us and to have a proper test drive with it (we drove it just 2 blokes) in the end, because of it we decided (even though the car was really good) to buy another one from another dealer, who behave professionaly

Hideous customer service! I ordered a new car in February with them and by the end of May after I chased them up, they told me there was a hold up in France and I wouldn't get my car until mid June at earliest. LIE - I called Citroen head office and they knew nothing of this and they were going to investigate Evans Halshaw Cardiff Citroen for saying this to a customer! They then said they would not take my car in part ex as it had run out of an MOT by then, even though the hold up was them! They wouldn't give me a courtesy car and then said they would not deliver the new car to me even though they originally said they would. I complained to Head Office and they were just as bad, didn't give a stuff! Clearly this company have so much business they can afford to:
Lie to customers
Ignore customers emails and calls
Go back on their word

I told them if they didn't get back to me by the following morning I would cancel my order. They didn't get back to me, so I did! Clearly the didn't need the £16k I spent on a car!

I am happy to say I am the happy owner of a brand new Citroen which I got from another garage locally who could not do enough for us - AND SHOWED US WHAT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD BE LIKE!

If I could give them no stars I would! Shocking service from the salesman and the manager there!

Staff are; courteous, polite and friendly, but last time I took my car there due to a manufacturer call back... I made them aware of a few issues and 1 issue was left unresolved, I had to have a rental as they don't have automatic courtesy cars. This proved inconvenient for me as I'm disabled. My most recent visit was for a service all issues brought to their attention from me were resolved. I had to take my car to Kwik Fit as advised for a slit in the tyre which was more cost effective. However Kwik Fit found an issue with the 2 front brakes that Citroen didn't find or make me aware of following their service. It makes me anxious as brake issues are quite serious.

I called to book my vehicle in for a quote and body repair, initial contact with employee who answered the phone was good, (even though I had to answer as to why I needed to talk with their repair dept) I stated; "can I be put through to repairs... as I need to have a repair done?" I was transferred had to answer questions about; name, reg, mileage address, telephone number and email address, only to then be told; "you need to go talk to our body shop!" So annoying waiting to be put through, answering all these questions (that are necessary I understand), only to be put through to the wrong dept. I explained my frustration and requested that she tell the next colleague my details before transferring me, (my disability causes pain randomly whilst having to listen to certain frequencies or audio), unfortunately this was not done and i had to repeat everything again. I'll update this review after the work is done on my vehicle.

😤 Well that was a waste of care call hours... I journeyed to Citroen to only be told their body repair shop is located in Merthyr Tydfil, this information couldn't be shared when I made the appointment. Staff had a showroom vehicle parked in the disabled bay yet again this is the 3rd time I've seen this now. When I made the enquiry there was no apology or assistance offered, just confused faces. I know this contradicts my initial review however the polite gentleman who has assisted me previously wasn't anywhere to be found.

I wouldn't recommend getting a Citroen or liaising with this dealership.

Never dealt with such an awful dealership. Poor communication from the start. Took the afternoon off work to collect a new car and they called when we were give minutes away to tell me a member of staff had crashed the car in the compound so I could not collect the car until next week. I then explained my insurance run out on my current car so asked if they could provide me with a courtesy car to which they said no they don't do it. I have left four messages today and spoken to head office and nobody can be bothered to phone me back. It has been a nightmare from start to finish and I advise everybody to avoid this dealership.

Customer service is quite poor, difficult to get through to on the phone, a lot of waiting around, not the best when handing over a lot of money for a car. Collected car and it was dirty on the inside, disappointing to be honest. Lucky to even find a staff member to help you on a Sunday, was told to wait and get a drink but water machine was empty. Really need to make some improvements

Customer service and after care was appalling! If you do buy a car be prepared to be phoned everyday from there sales team asking for you to give them your card details to take out the service plan. When in fact the car you brought will never make it to the service as it will have broken down before then!

what a joke. failed to ring back ever. I phoned them Tue they said will ring back later. I phoned them Wednesday they said they will get back to me. I phoned them Wednesday afternoon and said they get back to me. I phoned them Thursday and Thursday afternoon they said they will ring me back. I phoned them on Friday and their responce was they ring me Saturday or Monday. I phoned them Saturday as i needed an answer and they said we ring you Monday. no phone call on Monday so i rang them Monday afternoon. Finally my car went into Garage for repair on the Wednesday and fixed. i have filled in a review which i have received from Evans Halshaw and last week as the garage seems to have received the feedback which i gave which was bad review I had a missed call off one of the staff i dealt with and in the voicemail he said as we have missed you i will ring you back this afternoon or tomorrow.... I think you guessed the rest.... Yep no phonecall....
