Evans Halshaw Ford Cardiff

Bought a Nissan qashqai from here, was the best price around and great millage. Staff we helpful but not pushy.

Car did have to go back for new brakes but this was sorted without any problem :)

Misleading and dishonest staff members. I called to reserve a a Volvo v40 and I was told (by John) the car has been advertised for 2 days and still available. I was told the manager is on a call with another customer (8:10 am) and will be calling me back asap. An hour later, I called and spoke to Darren who again confirmed the car is available but might be priced wrongly and he said that he will call me back in 10 minutes. I again called 15 minutes later, spoke to Robert this time and he said the car was reserved few minutes ago!! You don't need to be a genius to figure out what happened there.

45 minute later, Ahmed called to tell me the car is now sold!!

I've had 3 cars from evans halshaw, my first from treforest and 2 from Cardiff, my latest was this weekend, the salesman ( umar ) who I would highly recommend was great, no pressure, we both had a test drive on different days, we was left to have a good look at the car, had a couple of things wanting to be put right before going ahead and they was, in my experience we've had good cars and service!

Booked my car online for clutch and various other jobs but could not get final quote. Mentioned in the comments to please contact me with a final price quotation.
Nothing happened until I called 3 days later to speak to someone. They then told me that they will talk to the w/s and call me back which never happened.
Then, two days before the appointment I called once again. I was on hold for 20min before the call was taken but at least I was given a price which the person said included all of the requested items AND VAT.
All in all it took me 5 days to get a ballpark price out of them.

Upon arrival for my appointment I asked to see the job list and the service advisor gave me a price which was almost double of the on quoted via the earlier phone call. Luckily I was able to simply walk away with only my precious time wasted as Im sure lots of consumers are caught like this and stung at the end when the bill arrives.

Also a shame that both the Ford dealers in Cardiff operate in the same fashion which let's the brand down.

Took my Fiesta in for a problem with the tank sensor which is under warranty. Staff very helpful especially Holly who dealt with me on the day and Dan who I spoke to previously on the phone. Arranged a courtesy car for the day ( better than my own! ) Had a call within a few hours from the service dept confirming the problem and though they had to order the part to be done another day, they were very helpful. Also did a 16 point check and outlined a couple of issues. Prices quoted for the extra work was quite expensive but I didn't feel pressured into getting the work done with them. Also had it back cleaner than I left it! Booked a future date with courtesy car for the work to be done. Glad I took the extended warranty when I bought the car as this would have cost a lot more. to fix if I hadn't

Recently purchased a brand new Ford Kuga from the guys at Evans Halshaw Ford Cardiff, the service was second to none!! I shopped around various other dealers and felt I was being pushed into deals that were not right for me, but at Evans Halshaw they really listened to me and helped me make my own choice. What a refreshing experience in a car dealer, they really changed my perception of car salesmen, keep up the good work!!

I was looking for a while for a first car since I have passed recently my driving test, and I had quite some bad experiences with other local garages in terms of the quality of their product. I then heard from a friend about Evans Halshaw's low price policy so I decided to give it a go to my local branch in Cardiff. I actually had quite a good experience, the staff there are friendly and ready to help with any problems...since I don't know much about cars it was quite a relief to see that the sales person give me the time of the day and walked me through all the things I need to know about my fiesta, how to tax it, maintained it, insure it and all that...saved me a lot of headaches :). Would recommend to a friend, cheers guys !
