Exegesis Spatial Data Management is a well-respected environmental, rights of way, ecological and heritage GIS consultancy, and part of Idox Software Ltd. We have developed many of the UK's leading countryside management software applications – systems to facilitate the management of public rights-of-way (PROW), archaeological sites, fly tipping, conservation areas and nature reserves. Our customer-base ranges across the public, private and charitable sectors and includes clients from local government, conservation organisations, regional and national charities and the renewable energy industry etc. The company also develops bespoke GIS, database and web mapping solutions and our services include data capture (including field survey), data analysis, processing and management, GIS system design consultancy and highly-rated, cost-efficient, MapInfo, ArcGIS and QGIS training. We carry out a wide range of surveys for managing public footpaths, upland and lowland peat bog restoration, illegal waste disposal and habitat mapping. For many surveys we use fixed wing or multi rotor drones to capture high resolution photography, both vertical and oblique.
