Today it was our turn to visit our physiotherapist Lisa Mazengarb in her own treatment centre. Normally Lisa will see patients at our Haverfordwest surgery but for some , swimming is an important part of their therapy and so we were fortunate to see hydrotherapist Simon ( Lisa’s husband) demonstrating a swim session in their lovely new pool. All patients need a vets letter for physio and hydrotherapy, so if you feel your dog ( or cat ) might benefit then please come and see us .

We are very short of newspapers to line our kennels in Haverfordwest. If anyone has any they could spare please drop them in!!

We're so excited to share our new video with you. It's been a big couple of years for us, between opening Fenton Vets and Groomers in Pembroke Dock and the renovation of our Haverfordwest practice, so we thought we'd better show it off. Thank you all for bearing with us - we're sure you'll agree it's been worth it!!

User

Would like to thank the wonderful staff at Fenton vets for their amazing service this week. My beautiful dog was put to sleep at home and they were so compassionate and caring from start to finish - wouldn't let us pay them either! A week later we received a handwritten card from them sharing their condolences, just goes to show how much they care! They made the whole process so much easier to bare. Thank you so much!

User

Would like to say a big thank you to Rowan who looked after one of our rescue Rotties Jack last week (not the easiest of tasks) and again this week for all our dogs health assessments including Jack, Siouxsie-su and Maddie. We think Jack likes Rowan and will always ask to see him if possible sorry Rowan you drew the short straw

We moved from Pembrokeshire to Suffolk on the 26th July this year and took our beloved family cat Mr Stubbs with us.

After a vet check before ‘the big move’ we were advised by the veterinary nurse Kim Griffiths to have him chipped.

So along with a flu jab, worm & flea tablets we had him microchipped and registered to the new address.

Mr Stubbs didn’t seem to mind the 6 house drive at all and settled into his new home fairly quickly. However not so long ago he took off on an adventure - 3 weeks went by and Mr Stubbs didn’t return home.

Then out of the blue we had a call from the local feline rescue to say he had been found 8 miles away.

Massive thanks to Kim and the team for the advice as it was certainly was worth it!

We had to bring our 9 month old cat Isla in as she was hit by a car we cannot thank all the staff that helped look after her!! Unfortunately she has a fractured pelvis and has a long 6 weeks of home caged recovery to go through.. but the care that she received whilst in the hospital was amazing! Highly recommended veterinary practice!! 5 star

We had to bring one of our pet rescue hens in to see Alex today. It was the end of the road for her and as always Alex was kindness on legs! We're very grateful to him. We have two Border Collies as well and we always have a very positive experience at Fentons. Reception staff, nurses and vets are all great at what they do.

User

Used Fenton's in Pembroke Dock and the staff are very polite and caring and Shaun and vet is also very polite, explained everything careful, was kind and very gentle with our dog, highly recommend.

User

The staff are always professional and friendly, with my pets best interests at heart. Thank you for caring

User

Thank you Fentons for the marvellous open day today. Really enjoyed the tour with the lovely Joy and Emma. Highlight had to be seeing Shaun operating but please tell him to have a shave! Big thanks also for everything you did for my beautiful, stunning and much loved 'Jess' in her final months. She is so missed but I will be forever grateful for the extra 2 years we had with her because of the quick intervention by Shaun in the start of that horrible disease which finally claimed her life. The whole team at Fentons are awesome and I couldn't ask for a better and more compassionate vets. I now have the quirky and beautiful 'Hetty', so please don't take it the wrong way when I say I hope I don't see much of you in the next few years - just the odd health check and vaccinations!!! xx

User

Out of hours call with my guinea pig which led to an emergency c-section, I can't speak highly enough of the service. Lisa dealt with the call and we were seen within half an hour of the Call, friendly and professional service from the vet and the nurse and a follow up call the following day to see how Rosie was. This was my first visit to Fenton but will be registering my other fur babies when I go back for post op check up. Thank you for everything: )

Our dog became ill on holiday and needed to be admitted for tests and treatment. I was very pleased with the service we received, both from the veterinary staff and from the nurses and reception. Prompt, kind and professional, as well as reasonably priced. Luckily the dog bounced back quickly and was well enough to travel home as planned, where he has continued to improve.

I would highly recommend anyone holidaying in the area make note of the contact info for Fenton Vets, just in case.

User

On our way back from holiday and our elderly Labrador collapsed. Thank you to the vets, nurses and receptionists for being so nice and getting our lovely old dog well again for his journey home. He's back home now and comfortable again

I would like to say a massive thank you following the death of my Robbie on 28th December. Throughout his time with Fenton Vets he was looked after brilliantly. Cannot thank Liza and all the Vet nurses enough who were my main support when Robbie was diagnosed with diabetes.

I was extremely lucky to have Robbie for over 16 years, so another big thank you to Jacky, Fran and Alice in the way you dealt with him during his last few days.

Many thanks to all the receptionists who I have got to know over the years, your support is so vital to me and other pet owners. Sara thanks for the shoulder to cry on.

User

I recently moved to the Pembroke Dock branches and the vet nurse was amazing. My little yorkie had become extremely nervous of the vets thanks to being rushed but this vet nurse seemed to have all the time in the world to help her realise it was a nice place. Along way to go but can not thank them enough for helping her become more comfortable.

User

I cannot thank Fenton Vets enough for what they have done for us during the passing of our dog. So calm and caring when it come to us saying our last goodbyes. Explained everything to us to ensure we knew what to expect. Seeing Scoobs take his last breath in the calmest and quietest way possible really made us feel at ease. Then to receive a card stating their condolences, so thoughtful

Had to attend Fenton Vets after a RTC with our dog, Luna, whilst on holiday in Pembrokeshire. Couldn't of wished for better attention and care. Although a very upsetting experience Fenton Vets kept us informed at all times, adapting their communication methods to meet our needs (we were on a campsite with no signal).

Excellent care for Luna from start to finish. Thank you

User

Great service from start to finish. Pete the vet was brilliant over the Christmas period with our french bulldog Charlie. He stayed a few days while we waited to find out what was wrong. They even opened up early so we could collect him to take him to bristol for is mri scan. Thanks

User

Fantastic staff, efficient service and really decent place. Thanks to them and the RSPCA, we got a wounded kitty treated, got his owners located in record time and now he's back home with his family. Can't ask for better.

User

Always had perfect treatment for both our dog and our daughters dog. Oskar and Freddie. They have both had treatment and opps. Staff and vets are amazing. Fred and Oskar are always happy to visit. Xxx

Came in with my young Labrador puppy about 5 weeks ago for various reasons. The vetenarians themselves were very good there was no problem. However I can't say the same for the staff at the desk and the surrounding team. 2 of the receptionists in particular were rude and judgmental and a phone call she made to a charity helping me fund my puppys treatment confirmed that. She was invasive and the comments made during that call were uncalled for and derogitary to me my family and our circumstances especially around the Christmas period.
