Ffelt Abertawe is a community-based social enterprise providing wide public with fashionable outwear made from pure Welsh and Rare British wool.

Ffelt Abertawe is a social enterprise based in Loughor, Swansea. Our aim is to create bespoke fashionable outwear, accessories and household items that are locally made from natural fibres- kind to you and kind to the nature. NO sweatshops, NO torture to the animals, NO harmful chemicals!
We hand-pick the finest sheep fleeces from WELSH and RARE British breeds (sourced within South Wales area), process them by hand (scouring, carding, de-hairing, dyeing) and turn them into unique hats, scarves, handbags, cases & pouches. . . shoes, coats, skirts. . . baby blankets. . . bridal accessories. . . rugs, vessels and much more! We also work with a local spinner and sell handspun yarns and hand-woven scarves (using the hanspun yarns).
Partnering with the "Campaing for wool" (Patron: HRH The Prince of Wales) and Rare Breeds Survival Trust, our ultimate goal is to share our passion for wool (and other locally sourced fibres- alpaca from South Wales, ethically sourced British angora and mohair) with the wide public and to support small local farmers of South Wales region. So with each item you will get not only a unique handmade item that is designed upon YOUR specifications- you can rest assured that the small farmers (who would otherwise struggle to sell their precious fleeces) are paid fair prices and can help us all to sustain ancient native sheep breeds of Britain.
