Wonderfull meal with my daughter ( thank you x) with lovely atmosphere. Kids were happy free ice cream after lunch!

Went to the fireside for a meal with my wife on Saturday evening. The food was fantastic and freshly cooked. The service was excellent. I just hope they keep these weekend opening hours up. It's exactly what Bargoed needs. Cant wait for my next visit.

There is nowhere to eat in Bargoed in the evenings, (unless you want a kebab of course) so I was glad to hear that you're open on weekends until late,,, I Will definitely be visiting very soon! Great idea! Thank you

Just had afternoon tea here for my mams 75th birthday (23/1/15) A selection of finger sandwiches and savoury pastries served on a 3 tier stand and a selection of cakes on another _ scones with jam & cream, cup cakes, welsh cakes, carrot cake & more. Served with a pot of tea & pot of coffee . All on a china service. Staff were very helpful putting up balloons & banners for a suprise. Well worth £7.95 pp

Just had a breakfast delivered for the first time, and it was amazing, I would recommend it to anyone, delicious food, great coffee, what more could you ask for.

It is a lovely atmosphere when you walk through the door, the staff are always friendly and the coffees are good and the food is good value for money

In my opinion The Fireside Lounge is the best place in Bargoed to have a good meal, from Breakfast to Dinner.

I have got to say we had a breakfast delivery the other Sunday morning and the lovely staff from The Fireside walked up with our order , I was overwhelmed and grateful , and if you go in there , there is always a warm welcome and a friendly smile awaits you , John is a local gentleman whom I've know and his family for many years , and I have to say he and his staff have worked so hard to get the Fireside to where it is today , a warm relaxing place to be . I would like to wish him continuous success in his business for many years to come xxxxx

Booked afternoon tea for my friends birthday as a surprise. Asked to have the afternoon tea set up for when we arrived. As we arrived we were surprised to a large area sectioned off with screens and behind was our afternoon tea all set up perfectly!! Looked amazing! It was a party of 7 but could have easily fed 9! Food was lovely and overall it was very special. Also for £4.95 is was way better than expected! Tea and coffee was unlimited too. Thankyou so much :)

Absolutely fantastic, I'm currently sat in the window seat with my failed breakfast attempt, I've never before been compelled to leave a review while still on the premises but this is remarkable. Great service too which is VERY rare in these parts! Fab :-)

Nice food, lovely coffee and average price. Little slow on food delivery but to be honest it's worth the wait. Very nice for the price!

I eat here most days its normally lovely but had steak today n i couldnt eat it..it was raw n cold in the middle couldnt cut it was very disappointed so had to leave most of it

They have changed hands recently. Like myself and many others will not be visiting again because the food isn't the same. Neither are any of the old staff are there. Everything has been changed. Sorry

London prices in Bargoed wtf? Cheap nasty sauces and tea spoiled a nicely cooked, but very expensive breakfast. And the nasty cuppa tea cost extra ontop of my £7 breakfast. Wouldn't waste my money here again.

worst Sunday lunch I've ever had , couldn't eat it. everything was freezing cold. if your going to stay open until 5pm the food should be as hot and as fresh as when you first open.
