Great to meet up with Laura at Send Academy this afternoon to give her group details of our LifeWise project. Laura runs a fabulous project across South Wales for adults with special needs.
We currently have 2 spaces available for young people 18+ with disabilities who meet every Thursday 1.15pm - 2.30pm. Drop us a message or call Vicky or Diane on 01443 218443 if you would like more information.

We have been donated this certified West Bromwich Albion signed ball that we would like to give to a child or young person with a learning disability.
If you would like to nominate a child or young person with a learning disability to receive this fabulous item, please "Like", "Share" and comment below. We will randomly pick a winner on Monday 13th August 2018.

A huge 'Thank You' to Merlin's Magic Wand Charity from Tech Club Newport.
We all had an amazing fun time at Legoland Windsor ... lots of smiles, happy faces and special memories of a perfect day .

Today we were proud to welcome the Children's Commissioner for Wales to our office.
Firstly we were joined by Lisa & Ffion, Moira & Leon and Hilary & Amy, and then a second session with our LifeWise Group for 18+.
Professor Sally Holland and Jordan introduced themselves and their roles, then we talked about "The things we need - what we need to grow up Happy, Healthy and Safe" and then "What is important to us, and what we would like to change for children in Wales"
... We were incredibly proud of the effort made by both groups in ensuring that our experiences and hopes for the future for children especially those with disabilities were considered. So many thoughtful and interesting ideas to make a positive difference. Well done everyone.

Welsh Government has asked Carers Trust Wales to find out from Carers what types of short breaks, respite or replacement care make the most difference to them.

9 year old Sophie is from Derby. Her dream was "to meet Matilda from the stage show".
Yesterday her dream came true when Follow Your Dreams along with the Provincial Grand Charity of Derbyshire funded and arranged the tickets for Sophie and her sister to see the Matilda Musical at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
"Thank you so much for making Sophie's dream come true, she was over the moon and got to meet Matlilda, Mrs Honey and Bruce .. I can't thank you enough. You should be very proud of your charity you haven't only made Sophie's dream come true but you have given her memories she will remember forever. Thank you again."
