Yayyy Cecil update. Well Cecil has fallen on his paws as he went to Lisa his long term fosterer. He is loving the attention and cuddles and enjoyed some supervised garden time today. He is stuck like glue to Lisa so much so that we have bought a pet sling as he loves being carried around. Look at this happy face β₯οΈπΎβ₯οΈ

We are often asked "don't you find it difficult with End Of Life Care cats"? The answer is yes, it is heartbreaking, but we like to think every cat matters, even the old and ill. We measure every thing by quality of life and when the time is ready the cat will find relief from pain, on vets advice, and die in the arms of the fosterer who will tell them they were loved and they mattered. We have a memory book for our loved and lost cats that is treasured and we can reflect on the fact that they didn't die alone, outside, in the cold, forgotten... We will never forget them ππΎπ
So our poor boy Ringo has now gone to an end of life fosterer. No one came forward and claimed him π He is the most amazing cat with so much love to give and is thankful for warmth food and love. Lauren took some pictures for us.... He will know what love truely is in his last months or weeks of his life and leave a paw print on all our hearts. We love you Ringo.. Our Star ππΎππ
Someone's happy to be outside! A huge thank you to everyone who took part in yesterday's fundraising appeal by donating, commenting, sharing and using the wish lists.. Sending all our love and thanks to each and every one of you! ππ
Look at these absolutely adorable cats! Different in their own way.. π
Despite lock down our team have individually attended a site in Newport the last couple of days trying to trap a heavily pregnant cat. We are still rescuing and rehabilitating ferals. Our work doesn't stop just our adoptions for now. In the meantime we still have raffles over on our fundraising page. So so grateful for everyone's support during this time. Thank you β₯οΈπΎβ₯οΈπΎβ₯οΈπΎπΎ
So many charities are in crisis at the moment due to the current climate. We get no government support and unlike many of the larger and more popular cat charities, we don't currently receive any significantly large financial donations from the public or awarding charity organisation to continue our work. Supporting vulnerable, additional needs, Feral, FiV, disabled and terminally ill cats costs a ridiculous amount of money in vet bills and we struggle month to month to find ...funding. At present we are relying on donations from you guys and our friends at other small rescue charities to keep afloat. We have several staff members in isolation and we are very limited in what we can do to raise funds without being able to do events or assemble raffles. Kitten season is upon us, cats are still being abandoned and life has gone on as normal for us, having to feed, house and rescue numerous amounts of cats across South Wales, including our long term residents. This now harder as we cannot do home checks due to social distancing. If you've been finding it hard due to restrictions to get enough cat food for the week, imagine what it's like with as many as we have! Fewer people are currently donating than ever so we need your support to keep doing what we are doing. Please consider donating or using our amazon wish lists--thank you all for your ongoing support at this really difficult time, we can't do this without you. ππ

Hey everyone, how's the first Sunday official quarantine? How about some cute cat videos to get you through another week? ππΈ Stay PAWsitive!!
This gorgeous boy who we have named Ringo was reported as straying in church village. We know posts have gone up in local hubs and door knocking in these circumstances is not advisable. Please can you share this post as much as possible. This gentle old man has enlarged and wobbley kidneys which isn't good news so we need to find an owner ASAP. He is neutered but not chipped and partially sighted. He has received veterinary treatment today and is safe. He is elderly so could have wandered out of his radius because of his sight. Please contact us if you have any information.
It's FURowback Friday! Where we revisit some our success stories over the years and see where they ended up with their happy "tails"
This week's story is Phoebe, her story is deeply saddening but it does end happy.. PAWmise! ππΈπ https://youtu.be/rijeRTEADLA
Cecil update! Cecil is doing well following his veterinary treatment and hopefully when we are able, he will go to our amazing palliative fosterer Caroline. In the meantime we are supplying him with lots of love and enrichment as we can. We had to borrow this pen as we do not have one but Cecil had some quality garden time yesterday in the sun x
Today it is Sarah's birthday. Sarah is a trustee of forgotten felines and a very valued member of our team. We laugh together, cry together but most of all stick together. Sarah has to spend her birthday in isolation so can we all wish her a Very Happy Birthday. Love ya... From all at Team FF ππΎπππ°πβ₯οΈπΎ
