Long exposure photos don't just have to be about landscapes and water features, as seen here by Andrew Markert using our Firecrest Ultra 16 stop. Fantastic Shot

hello, i have both 2 of Formatt-Hitech filters one is Firecrest ND 4.8(16) stop and another is nd 3.0 10 stop and have to say they r amazing . before was using lee big stopper which have alot blue colour casting and unfortunately brake him :( also have polariser and not sure im happy coze its really hard to screw on a holder . but never had any other make so not sure .:)

User

These filters are a top quality bit of kit and the customer service is excellent with a fast response to any questions. Will buy more in the future and recommend to others

User

Their line of Firecrest ND filters is by far the best I've ever used, and I've tried a lot. They make colors pop in a very natural way. We keep adding more to our kit so that every camera has a Firecrest ND on the front - they make quite a difference. We used them on most of a reality TV pilot and they performed wonderfully. We've also used them on national TV shows, commercials, and Hollywood movies. We're selling all of our other ND filters and buying more Firecrest filters. Well done Formatt Hitech.

User

The ultimate quality in filter making and superb customer service.

User

Tested my new Firecrest filter holder kit and it is awesome. The customer service was excellent, they actually implemented PayPal since I wasn't able to pay with a credit card. The only minor downside is the listing of regional resellers. Most of them do not list Formatt Hitech filters at all. I looked for a reseller in Germany or Austria to save the 5£ shipping for just some cheap parts and none of them could offer me a 72mm rotating adapter ring for the filter holder in case I don't need the polarizer. Nonetheless great quality, value and service. Love the new kit

User

Stunning range of filters. The best I have ever used and I simply don't leave for a shoot without them. Highly recommended.

User

I purchased 2 Formatt filters to complement my filter collection - the famous 16stop IRND and the Reverse Grad .9 (3 stop).

They are perfect - cast less. I use the reverse grad for sunrise/sunsets and the performance is amazing, even in harsh sea-side conditions.

I have been using my Firecrest soft grad set for around 8 week now. I would like to share my thoughts, working in the world of Engineering I tend to inspect things more with a keen eye. On opening the very well packaged presentation box my thought drifted to excitement when I found the lovely padded but still slimline filter pouch that unfolded easily and also held firmly secure. Each filter was folded and tagged with usual filter tissue paper. On opening each one my fist thoughts were of the very high standard of manufacture with soft edged glass, they have a very interesting silky silver shine over the grad area, but how would they fair in the field. I would add they have now become my go to filters, so using a variation of 0.6, 0.9 and 1.2 grads stacked and as singles have found them very sympathetic to balance exposure and love the natural feel they have brung to my images. I very much look forward to using more Formatt Hitech kit in the future.

User

I have been using Formatt Hitech Firecrest filters and resin filters for the last few years. I love how neutral the Firecrest Glass filters are. Great filters to use in the field and teach with. Love my 16 stop and my 0.9 soft grad.

User

I Bought the Coby Brown Filter set just before Christmas, only managed to get out and use them last weekend. Impressed is an understatement! I still can't believe the difference these have made to my photography, Can't wait to get back out with these filters and capture more beautiful images

As for customer service, 110% satisfied, staff could not have been anymore helpful! Best customer service I have ever experienced!

User

Great products and excellent customer service! I bought a filter kit which later the same day turned out to be on sale. I sent an email asking if I could get the new lower price even though I had already made the purchase, and was subsequently refunded the difference. Top notch Formatt Hitech (Y)

And oh, really like the filter kit as well!

User

First time user of any filters & went for the best. Good results really happy.

User

Firecrest products are quality.

Filter Holder is a complete solution and filters have no cast.

User

Best and most neutral filters in the market! I have been using my 10 stopper for quite some time now and I consider it my best photo gear investment.

User

Amazing service, James went out of his way to hook us up with some special sized filters for our DJI Inspire 2 drone that we were struggling to find in the UK. Can't wait to try them out!

User

I purchased my first set of filters this past February in preparation for a workshop on the beautiful Isle of Arran in Scotland. After the workshop I had a new respect for filters as they pertain to landscape photography. I will add more to my kit as money permits. :-)

My only "but" and the reason I gave a 4 star instead of 5 rating is that I have experienced vignetting when shooting at wide angle, specifically 24mm. This concerns me a bit as I just purchased a 16-35mm lens for landscape and am a little worried about using it below 24mm.

My typical "go to" set up is a 6 stop ND and a 3 stop GND. I do not put on the end caps so that I may be able to quickly change out either filter as needed. Any suggestions/solutions are welcomed. Thanks.

User

Having recently spent some considerable money on Formatt Hitech's "Firecrest Joel Tjintjelaar Signature Edition 165mm Long Exposure Kit 1" from Amazon, I am pretty devastated to find that NONE of the 3 Firecrest filters have a foam gasket fitted. Not only this, but Formatt Hitech haven't included any foam gaskets in the box to fit at home, either - what am I meant to do? At an RRP of ~ £800, I really wouldn't have expected this. I'm eager to start using this kit, but really need the gaskets? Please help, Formatt Hitech!

User

I find it somewhat shameful that at a 100mm System which is purchased precisely because of wide angle , a separate wide angle adapter ring is offered , the so expensive is almost exactly like the filter holder .

There is only a normal adapter here .

This is pure money making ! Quality or not, this metal ring cost almost 50 euros . A shame that has to suffer the wallet if you could actually settle from the outset with a 100mm filter holder this ring instead of the normal.

User

The large filter end caps of the Firecrest system should definitely not be changed or dissolved at temperatures in the zero range.

Due to the low temperatures, these very thin plastic parts quickly become brittle and break easily.

But do not worry Formatt Hightech has provided and you can buy the endcap kit for 33.33GBP (without shipping). Is nevertheless a pointed price for exactly 38g plastic.
