What a lovely place. This was our first visit but definitely will not be our last. We were warmly welcomed and given plenty of time to look over the menu and the wine list. We chose four plates and a side of bread with garlic butter and dipping oil. Everything was absolutely delicious. Then on to the desserts - my husband had the pear fancier and I had the set custard - descriptions come nowhere near describing how outstanding they were - we both felt that our choice was the best dessert we had ever eaten.

Thank you Freckled Angel for outstripping your reputation. Wonderful food and excellent service with exactly the right balance of attention. The restaurant is comfortable and welcoming and the toilet is spotless.

We read the reviews, had the recommendations, and decided we need to try for ourselves. The reviews are not just hype, the Freckled Angel delivers on all levels right from the moment you step through the door. It's a small restaurant with a wonderful charm, the staff are very attentive, welcoming, and friendly, and the food is outstanding.



We ordered a number of small dishes and some sides and everything was perfectly cooked and delicious, with some stand outs for us being the lamb knuckle which just melted in the mouth, and the duck egg which was a warm yolky delight! High compliments to the chef indeed.



If you are ever in our around Menai you need to pay the Freckled Angel a visit, we can't wait to come back again and try some other dishes from the menu.

We had a home dining experience last night for 8 of us for my 30th birthday. What an amazing experience!! The food was phenomenal. The chef and two staff were fab felt like I was in a restaurant but in the comfort of my own home. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you so much for making my birthday so memorable.

Visited yesterday with my sister and we were not disappointed. This was definitely a new experience for the both of us and we both absolutely loved it. We had four dishes between us and two sides and we were absolutely stuffed although we made room for the dessert! Would highly recommend the braised pig cheek dish and the dessert- chocolate ganache with peanut moose and salted caramel ice cream. Friendly staff, made us feel welcome and lovely decor with a calming mood. Will definitely be visiting again! Enjoyed trying new combinations and flavours that blended well together, very talented chefs!

This was our first visit and a really fabulous place to eat in Menai!! What a gem! We have been visiting Anglesey for 40+ years as a family and this is right up there in our top places to come back and eat. The staff were lovely and the food was faultless. Excellent flavour combinations and a great take on Spanish Tapas with English food. Well done team!

This was my first visit and a special birthday treat. It didn't disappoint. Not only were we greeted with " Happy birthday" but a lovely banner was there for us all to see. As for the food, I am a veggie and always worry that there will be less choice for me. Not so, I had enough choices and each selection was absolutely delicious.

The only reason I didnt have a dessert was the amount of birthday cakes at home.

Next time though I will be sure to indulge. Friendly and attentive, I cant fault my day. I have already pencilled in my next visit . Full marks xx

Had a beautiful lunch here today with friends and their babies �! The staff were very friendly and accommodating with all our prams �! The food really is delicious and worth a visit! Highly recommend �.

Friendly service and excellent execution of dishes. Highlights for us were the duck egg, beetroot tortellini and the chocolate ganache was ridiculously out of this world! Only gripe was that it felt quite stuffy inside and could have done with AC/fresh air.

Fantastic food and amazing service. Can’t recommend enough. Will definitely be returning.

You choose a selection of small plates and thus get to enjoy a range of different flavours. All dishes were delicious and distinctive - especial mention for the Perl Lass souffle, Beetroot, Goat's Cheese & Hazelnut Salad and Sirloin with Crispy Shallots. Lovely Puds too. And staff were a pleasure, to boot.

Defo worth a visit, absolutely delicious.. one of the tastiest food iv ate in a long time! ��

Came hear with a few friends a few weeks back and omg it’s the most tastiest food I’ve had our round hear in a long time, I will deffo be returning �

Ate here last night and wow, what a place! Food was tasty, nicely presented and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Would most def go there again! Thanks for providing a really good place for a work’s leaving do (sorry we were a bit rowdy...!). �
