Tom Edwards talks you through his match-winning lines at Decoy Lakes starting off fishing the method feeder, then moving on to fishing caster shallow, then pellets long and finishing off fishing for the big fish down the edge.
He shares some handy tips that could help you on your next fishing trip to Decoy Lakes or other commercial fishing venues. Using a variety of methods including the pole and rod and line, he shows you how to get the best out of each line.

Our own Tom Edwards has just won the Decoy Lakes Festival.
Starting Day one of the festival on Elm peg 24 he managed to put together a huge 294lb to win the match overall so a fantastic start, then moving on to day two he had drawn peg 4 on Cedar and had another big weight putting 283lb on the scales and taking the match out again.
Then on to today the final day, he had drawn peg 12 on the renowned Beastie Lake and fishing bomb and pellet and down the edge, with micros and w...orm, he put 180lb in the net putting him 2nd in the section. This gave him 4 points and with him being the only one with 4 points a festival win.
Congratulations Tom, a fantastic 3 days and result.

This little beauty has just landed in the office. Something for all you feeder fans out there. It features 9 ball bearings and the awesome PBS system.
The PBS system allows you to set the tension of the backwind for a smoother fish playing action. This gives you two options when playing fish, using either the front drag or the PBS system. It is perfect for feeder fishing, as you can use with the anti-reverse off as it will give you a cushion for those fast wrap around takes o...n the rod when fishing either the method or pellet feeder.
A video will be out soon showing you how the PBS system works.
The new Match + Reel features the following - 9 Ball Bearings - 2 Tensioned Metal Line Clips - Single & Double Handle included - 2 identical spools - PBS System - 5:2 line ratio
Line Capacity - 0.16/200m - 0.20/160m - 0.24/120m
All this for only £49.99 offering excellent features and performance at a fantastic price.
These should be hitting Frenzee stockists in Mid-August.

We recently visited Westwood Lakes one of Tom Edwards favourite venues, to go through his elastic choice he uses for most of his fishing during the summer months. Tom talks you through each elastic option and the size of fish and method that he uses them for.
This insight into elastic choice might help any angler who is looking for options for their summer fishing.

Daiwa Westwood Festival - Westwood Lakes
Tom Edwards has been on the festival which finished today and he has managed to finish 2nd overall just losing out on first by weight. He finished with a 3pt score with 515lb in total but Andy Bennett managed to pip him with a higher weight.
Awesome performance from young Tom.
... Day 1: Swallow Peg 8
I fancied this peg for a few bites fishing a very simple match shallow at 6m with maggots and down my margins on pellets, and top 4 with maggots on the bottom. I started the match down the edge with only 1 f1 in 15 mins and wasn’t really going to plan so tried my shallow line and was only odd fish. I have then started feeding maggots in 3ft of water in front of me and never looked back caught big f1s, barbel and the odd carp to end up with 152lb which won section and 2nd on the lake.
Day 2: Skylark 24
With the wind blowing down this end, I knew it would be a good day, again another simple match fishing down the edges on pellets and maggots and across on pellets. I had an awesome day catching 40lb down the edge first hour and then caught steady across putting another 70lb in the net. Then had a great last hour and a half down the edge to end up with 174lb which won my section and just pipped bagger Bennett for the lake win by 2lb.
Day 3: Falcon 42 Last day of the festival and it turned into yet another simple match fishing shallow, edge and maggots on top kit in the deeper water, started off with a few fish down edge and then a few shallow but it was really iffy, I moved onto my top kit line with maggots and caught really well until the end to weigh 188lb which has won my section and 2nd on lake behind bagger Bennett.
This put me on on 3 points 515lb in weight but ending up finishing 2nd in the festival on weight. Well done to Andy Bennett on winning the festival overall.
Fantastic performance once again.
Well done from all the team at Frenzee

Firstly we have to say a big congratulations to our Kevin Wadge for winning the Dynamite Festival at White Acres, with him also on the Guru Festival, we finally managed to pin him down to get a rundown of his week.
Monday: Peg 49 Trewaters I fished a long pole line swinging, meat short, method to island and edges. The long pole was difficult with the wind and I struggled for bites. The method was great with an underarm swing with my 9ft precision rod and a hybrid feeder. I fe...d the edges with groundbait in 18 inches of water and alternated this and the meat short line for the last 2 hours of the match. I finished with 113lb for a section win and lake 2nd.
Tuesday: Peg 19 Porth I fished a method match as I knew there were some bream in the area as Tom Edwards had 31lb of them the day previous. I fed 2 pints of groundbait and pellet at 33 turns at the start and basically caught 8 bream for 37lb for a section and lake 3rd.
Wednesday Peg 37 Bolingey - Flier :) A lovely match where I only fished two lines, that was short on paste and also down both edges for 136lb and a section win.
Thursday Peg 19 Match Lake I didn't really fancy this draw as there is no shallow water to go at. I fished 16m with pellets, a method to the island and towards a little buoy, meat short and waggler. I basically chased my tail all match and weighed 40lb for 3rd in section, so that was my dropper for the week.
Friday Peg 4 Twin Oaks I thought my dream of winning the festival was over on drawing this peg, so I decided on a worm and caster match on top kit plus 3, method and edges. I caught around 40lb on the worm line in the first 2 hours. I fed a loose pot of groundbait down my left edge and it was showing signs of fish straight away. I went on it at around half 2 and never looked back. Worm on the hook and fed groundbait after every fish. I finished with 183lb for a section and lake win.
This gave me a total of 32 points with 4 sections wins and a 3rd. With Paul Holland also on the same points, it came down to weight and my total week of 510lb 15oz was enough to clinch it with Paul having 483lb 4oz. That last day on Twin Oaks was the deciding factor for me having a fantastic weight.
So a festival win and this week I am on the Guru Festival, having started Monday with a section win, so more of the same, please.
Tight Lines Kevin Wadge
