Hi all,
thank you for all the recent support we have received from our community. The great team we have in place work hard to please our customers each and every day.
You may have seen some complaints recently concerning a recent delivery. We would never give details of an order usually but unfortunately the integrity of the business has come into question.
... The order concerned was a buffet produced at less than cost for a charity event. We are not and will not ever be willing to give any customer details.
The buffet included the following:-
50 sandwiches including finest quality gammon ham Cheddar cheese Egg Mayo
50 large freshly cooked sausage rolls
50 pieces of chicken
2 pizzas
Salad with dressing
3 packs of biscuits
Tortilla chips with large dips
and extra crisps
5 staff hours
Free delivery 15 miles away
Plus 20% VAT included
This was supplied to 25 people at a cost of £3.60 per head (including VAT).
We will make no further comment on the matter and thank the staff for the hard work they put in to prepare and deliver this order.
We are very sorry the order was not satisfactory and will look at avoiding these situations in the future.

We are doing a refurbishment over Easter, I can promise its going to be wacky and fun and I really hope everybody comes in to see it, bring the kids.....the rest is top secret xxxx

Hey everyone, just wanted to keep you up to date, please feel free to share the following :- On Saturday the 31st March we will close at 2.30 for a refit, to try and make the place a little more pleasant. From Monday 26th we are doing burger week, lots of tempting and innovative taster's. When we re open on Tuesday 3rd we are having a 2week 80's fest, with loads of classics and the staff dressed accordingly, feel free to post ideas. On 4th May we are hoping to secure a workshop for "WOW" Which means " women of the world" it would be a great opportunity for all of StMellons to have a grand voice.

Due to no fresh supplies being able to get to us, we will be closed until Monday. Apologies all

As we are closed today, and no shops have bread or milk, I travelled to the cafe and distributed what milk & Bread we had to all my elderly neighbours, sorry it was only a jug each but at least they have some xx

As part of a trial.....we will start to do deliveries on a Wednesday and Friday morning, minimum orders of £15. Please share this post to see if it is viable

Had a lovely day at the cafe today, it was really nice being able to talk to customers and have a giggle, I've been worrying far too long about the food standards , I now can relax a little (not too much though ) xx

22 Christmas dinners served and many gifts, donations and warm wishes received. Merry Christmas from the Team at Frolics and a big thank you to everyone who helped out 🎄

Thank you everybody for your kind help with the community dinner of 2017. We have been overwhelmed by all of the support. Tesco, Batley's, Vale, Farmfoods, and the peelers of 2017 ( places still available for peeling, 2pm on Friday, elf hat is a must). Seriously though, I thank everybody for their support, Well done St.Mellon's xx

For our community Xmas dinner, we only have a few places left, this is not restricted , everybody is welcome. If anybody would like to donate either time or produce it would be gratefully received. We have our peeling club coming on Fri 22nd Dec and the dinner is Sat 23rd at 2pm. This is done free of charge every year. Please share and see where we can get when a community comes together 🙋

Daughter went into today to get a jacket potato with tuna and it was tiny with a snotty amount of tuna mayo. Not really worth the money. � might have been lack of stock because of the snow but could have charged less �

Very low quality. Nowhere near enough food for 25 people and what makes it worse is that this was for people with learning and physical disabilities.

Would not recommend to anyone.

But if anyone see’s this please take note. Another volunteer posted a comment about the quality of the food and the comment was removed then a comment to cover themselves was posted. Please who ever find this post, share and shame this company.

Paid £90 for a buffet for 25 people. Really poor quality, and not enough. Disappointing at best. Shop around people, or do it yourself �
