Gales Of Llangollen

Lovely atmosphere and high quality food. Unlike most restaurants in the area - Gales is pricey with small portion dishes. Also, it serves dishes with an emphasis on different types and cuts of meat, rather than serving traditional Welsh dishes.

Comfortable - food was excellent my friends fennel and morels dish was particularly good. I was there with a group and the place was lively but not too loud to chat

Beautiful wine bar with a great atmosphere and service. Had a very good value three course meal on a busy Bank Holiday evening. Excellent quality food with good range of wines by the glass, from under £3. Look forward to a return visit

Beautiful town. Gales was pleasant, rustic but in need of updating. Rather basic continental breakfast but adequate. Pleasant morning waiting staff. Clean white bedlinen and would have been good night's sleep but for rowdy noise outside.

This is a little gem, beautiful spacious rooms with very welcoming staff. Do note the car park is small, with a very tight entrance, but worth the squeeze as this place is bursting with character.... and wine!

Excellent service, excellent food, excellent location. The depth and breadth of drinks knowledge, especially wine, is second to none. I always look forward to trips to Llangollen because I get to visit Gales.

Popped in this evening for food after working all day. Very good reception and excellent menu. After discussions chose to go with chefs recommendations and wasn't disappointed. Local produce, cooked and presented to a very high standard. We will be going back for more 😀

Just had the most fabulous meal to celebrate our birthdays. Food out of this world service friendly and helpful. Would recommend Gales Wine bar to anyone visiting or living within striking distance of Llangollen.
