Gardner Pianos are a family company established in 1953. Here we are dedicated to offer the best possible service to our customers. Our aim is to make purchasing a piano as easy and informative as possible, ensuring our customers are happy with their purchase for many years to come.
We sell new and used acoustic pianos, and digital pianos.
Restoration
Our history is from the technical side, as we have been restoring pianos for many, many years. We can carry out a full restoration or carry out a small repair.
Piano Moves
Moving home, then give us a call, we can carry out the piano removal for you. We carry all the correct equipment for moving your piano safely and efficiently, and we are of course well insured to be responsible for your piano.
Piano Tuning
At the moment, tuning is the one thing that we are not carrying out ourselves and are passing the work out local piano tuners. If you are looking for a tuner then just give us a call and we can give you some numbers.
Piano Hires
Are you getting married, or holding a special event? Give us a call for a price for the hire of a beautiful black Kawai grand piano (only a few months old), our small white baby grand, an upright or a digital piano. We install the piano and stool, tune the piano on site and then pop along after the event to remove the piano.
Piano Storage
We have workshop facilities where we keep our pianos, and store pianos for customers for a week or years if needed! The workshop is heated 24 hours a day, to ensure the pianos are kept at a constant temperature, which is good for their stability.
So for any piano requirement, please give us a call, we will do our best to help in any way we can.
Music
We also sell sheet music (for piano only) and cover most genres, but focus mainly on exam materials and tutor books. We also have a regular weekly order service, so if you need something and we don't have it then we can always order it in for you.

A slightly tricky delivery of a beautiful Kawai grand piano.
One of our customers is looking to sell this harp, if anyone would like more information, her details are listed below.
This English Erard Gothic harp was built in 1845 in London, serial number 5719. Surprisingly the mechanism is original, but the body is rebuilt, due to woodworm, by a vicar in Wales. The harp produces bell like harmonics and a lovely sound. It is a good starter instrument, being light to handle. There is no curve along the strings, quite remarkable for such... an old harp. I bought it in the 80's as a teaching harp . It had a new soundboard built by Munson and Harbour in 1988. More recently it underwent a complete overhaul by Pilgrim Harps in 2007.

This is very much a first for us. This piano came in, in a sorry state, it had writing and stickers all over the keys. So the obvious answer was to spray them silver, certainly something a bit different.
This is piano number 1 for the ‘Our Valleys, Our Future’ campaign. They are having 10 pianos to decorate and put them in public places all over the South Wales Valleys for the public to play and enjoy.
A very happy day at Gardners. We have been given the honour of providing a large number of pianos for “Our Valleys, Our Future” campaign, driven by current Minister Alun Davies and a task force to raise pride in the valleys, and help to create 7,000 new fair jobs within the region by 2021. We are very proud to be supporting such a worthwhile project.
Strings are all on the upright now, so Jeff started pulling up to pitch, once at pitch the piano will be tuned more than 6 times before it leaves us, to help settle the strings.
Matthew is preparing a nice piano prior to re-delivery, after being in storage with us for about 12 months.
