‘A little gem!!’ - ‘Found this place whilst shopping. We called in for breakfast and were very impressed. I had the eggs benedict and my wife had the full meaty breakfast. Every item on our plates were so tasty. All the food that appeared from the kitchen appeared to be of excellent quality and generous portions. The staff were great and they were happy to make individual changes to your order as required. The other items on the menus all look excellent so we will be back to try a lunch in the near future.’ (Delwyn, B - Newport)

‘Located in the arcade of Duke Street, you have to know it to go there otherwise you can easily miss it. I, fortunately, went with my son whom I was visiting and treated him to breakfast. Garlands was his first choice and I can see why: small place; but intimate and cosy; staff very nice and food is very very good. We had the traditional full breakfast which was perfectly cooked and tasty’ (Jbrover, Alicante)

Oh Hello Friday, we present to you, our Full Vegan. Master of all things breakfast since “1953” safe to say we are no over night fad 👊🏼

Went for breakfast very tasty would recommend and great service. 👏👏👏

We were over for the Velothon and I had a Meaty Breakfast the next morning, wifey just a Latte, my breakfast was spot on, a real tummy filler that was well needed! The young lady gave my wife a sample of the Clinton Coffee which she has now ordered some of, thank you! Lovely place great service and bob on food, shame your not in Jersey! �

Very nice home made lunch. Friendly staff.

Took my little boy here today for a Sunday dinner and I have to say it was one of the nicest dinners I’ve had in a long time! Highly recommend �thank you

This is a must do for those who like a great tea and awesome food, Welsh or English food on offer and all scrumptious...

The Breakfasts are awesome.. and the location is great.

The Sunday lunch was mouth watering so many flavours ;so well presented best eat out Sunday lunch I've had in ages yummy .The home made ice cream is a must .Garlands food is Garlicious

Had a lovely experience at Garlands. I loved the decor - it felt very cosy and homely.



I had the eggs benedict and it was delicious and my partner had the full breakfast! It was enormous.



Lovely experience all in all and will definitely be returning to try one of the delicious cakes on display!



We also got some sausage rolls to take away. They were DELICIOUS.

Garlands in cardiff bay is incredible..the food I'd outstanding and the staff are so lovely

I held my wedding reception here in April 2016 and it was the cutest most relaxed wedding reception..they catered for us as we wished and supplied all drinks for an open bar..can't recommend this place highly enough xx

Garlands accommodated us as a hen party of 16 and we could not fault them. It was a lovely setting for breakfast. They managed to get all the orders out at the same time and they were all fresh and very tasty. Great job Garlands!

Absolutely love this place, adorable decorations and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Really nice to have vegan options on the menu especially as a breakfast option which is very limited in cardiff.



Never let down by the food which is always delicious as well always being served really good coffee with oat milk as an alternative to soya which, for a small business is very impressive!



The staff are always lovely and clearly work very hard, started choosing this place as a meeting place for my group of friends so will definitely be in more regularly! Thanks guys!

The coffee today was the usual high standard but the breakfast very poor. Looked like really heated sausage (like iron) and potatoes that were also hard and inedible. Premium price. Sub standard quality. Very disappointed!

1 hour waiting for the food, slow service... The food was ok.

Very very disappointed!!! Been looking forward to having breakfast here for some time now and it couldn’t have been anymore underwhelming!!



Sat outside and the table wasn’t clean at all, old dried food still remaining from previous customers, once we ordered our food took over 1hour to arrive.



Cutlery was dirty, my food was not served as described (Dragon sausage & Pork with leek sausage) but only got 2 Pork with leek. No white pudding either. This breakfast was over £11!!! No sauces or condiments on table had to get them ourselves.



Overall £49 for a breakfast for 4 people was extremely overpriced!!!! Also the waiting time for food was over an hour meaning our parking cost bumped us into the 2hour bracket costing us £7.50 to park each in 2 cars..... so all in all £65 for this breakfast treat.



Far from being a treat more like daylight robbery!



We did get £8 taken off as I complained but I don’t feel this really has made up for this terrible visit.

Left after waiting an age for a simple fry up that never arrived to our table with an unapologetic member of staff. On the plus side I got to witness the formation of a stalagmite from start to finish, fascinating stuff really. Would avoid this place if you want good service and food. I'm not quite sure they even serve it here? Thanks for the memories! Hi5 and keep up the awful work.
