Just what's needed on a Sunday morning
What a fantastic place not only for fishing but caravanning as well the people there will do anything for you
We have been here all week from the 8 April till 15 April 2017 , it's been a fabulous week fishing � great, ash lodge perfect, Christine cafe breakfast � was cooked to perfection we really did not want to go home we will be back thank you for a great stay �
This is the second time hubby and I stayed and we still love it. Beautiful and quiet surrounding. Very comfortable log cabins (stayed in Oak) and hubby loves the fishing experience. Easy reach from Reading and ideal for a short break away from the daily rat race.

On of my favorite venues for fishing filming and staying.
Ok just found a couple of minutes to review although i do not think it needs it.First i would like to thank Jamie and his girl in cafe "Leanne" for really looking after me and my two nephews who could only do two days but loved it.I had a week in log cabin that was made so much easier by the people on site.The other fishermen were all regulars and not only offered advice on fly tactics but also took time out for my two nephews to teach them casting as they had not fly fished before.They will be doing a lot more after being at Garnffrwd believe me.I cannot praise the lake or staff enough who made my holiday break special and i have re-booked the same week next year and may possibly get there again before then.Jamie ! Hat,s off to you mate.Leanne thank you for the time and effort looking after me and i,ll see you soon. Chris Coughlan.
My husband Keith & I have just got back home from a 3 day stay in Oak Lodge at Garnffrwd. I fish, Keith doesn't, but that made no difference as it's such a beautiful place for him to act as my gillie or just sit & read, people watch, take photos, mooch etc! The lodge was really well equipped & very comfortable. On top of that the fishing was superb. Thanks Jamie & Linda, we had a brilliant stay & intend to revisit in the not too distant future.
Hard fighting Rainbows, Browns, Blue's and Tigers. I've been fishing here for almost 5 years and it has never disappointed. Fantastic top of the water sport. Always a warm welcome from Jamie and great food from Christine's Cafe. Superb value for money from a pristine fishery. Very hard to beat.
Great fishery, hard fighting Rainbows,Tigers & Browns, easy to locate, pleasant owners and a great breakfast. Highly recommend
Great fishery plus a wonderful restaurant Jamie very helpful we will be back
Great few days stay here in the cottage. Really cosy. Jamie was a great host. Done his best to help On The fishing. Really great guy. On site cafe was great, excellent food and spotlessly clean. Christine was so nice.
Would love to return soon.

Brilliant days fishing superb lake and surroundings 100% be bk again very soon
Amazing place and really friendly people can't wait to go back first fish I had was a monster pushing the 17 lb mark in guessing as had no scales followed buy a few brownies around the 3 lb mark everyone fishing there was helpful and friendly really lovely place
Amazing - Boys gone fly fishing and me and the dog left to our own peaceful heaven in Oak Lodge. Can’t describe the smiles on everyone’s faces when we arrived and everyone’s still smiling.
Absolutely loved staying in the log cabin over the new year family really enjoyed, weather was dry but cold but we were nice and cozy inside .
Beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife , even done a little bit of fishing which I haven't done in a long while , Jamie was very helpful and couldn't do enough , we have already booked again for next new year
