Gellifawr Woodland Retreat

The place and the cottage itself were very clean and comfortable. The food was first class and plentiful. We attended for a wedding otherwise we would not have known about the place. The only downside is that it is somewhat isolated and the road was very narrow.

We attended a family wedding and stayed overnight in one of the cottages. Lovely setting and great to be able to have all in one place. Accommodation was clean but basic. Only one bathroom for 6 of us staying in one cottage, and no milk in the cottage to make a cup of tea. But overall a very pleasant stay.

Absolutly fabulous place cant fault the venue and service was top class.

Nice place. Great locale. Drinks were a little pricey for the middle of nowhere in Wales.

The problem we had was a lack of wifi which what I needed for a job not just convenience. A big enoug to take a star.

Very tranquil & good management defective oven delt with straight away .

Really nice place, great staff the only thing letting it down is getting to it.

Lovely short break. Friendly staff,comfortable room and gorgeous breakfast. Had a really nice evening meal too. The grounds are great for a wander and a sit overlooking the small lake with a glass of wine. Highly recommended.

Set in a location that can only be described as stunning. Rooms are clean and spacious, service is excellent and food is pretty good too.

This was our 2nd visit which was again relaxing and peaceful. Unfortunately on arrival we were provided with the keys to our room in the main hotel, only to find that the room had not been cleaned. This was quickly rectified and we were placed in an alternative room which was lovely. We dined in the restaurant in the evening, however the starters which my friend had Mackerel pate on bread, was dry and the bread slice was not very appetising as was the bread served with the goats cheese. The main dishes were all very good. Breakfast the following day was good however the toast was just presented on a plate and not cut in half - This would of been better presented in a toast rack as it would be normally, and when my wife asked for black pepper was presented with a 2ft pepper mill! Overall a lovely break was had by us all.
