Gellionnen Chapel Description
LOVE – We believe in the power of love, to transform lives, communities, and our world.
COMMUNITY – We believe in the importance of community, connection, and friendship.
JUSTICE – We believe in justice and building a better society, in our own country and around the world.
EQUALITY – We believe in equality for all regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, faith, or physical and mental health.
GOD – We believe in God, however we choose to see Him /Her /It. For some, God is a Divine Being, for others God is Nature, Humanity, or our conscience.
JESUS – We believe in trying to follow the teachings of Jesus: to love our neighbours, to treat others as we would wish to be treated, and to forgive others. We may view Jesus as the Son of God, or as a wise man alongside other inspiring spiritual figures like the Buddha, Moses, or Guru Nanak.
UNITARIANISM – We are a liberal Christian chapel, one of 21 Unitarian chapels in Wales, and part of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches.

Today we held a special service to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
We heard stories of the victims, survivors and heroes of the Holocaust, including Janusz Korczak, Wladyslaw Szpilman and Norbert Capek.
Each member of the congregation had a photograph and the life details of a Holocaust victim, helping us to remember individuals from amongst the 6 million murdered Jews.
... We also heard of the need for us to challenge rising anti-semitism in our society.

On the first Thursday of every month we get together for an informal drink and a chat at a local pub. Everyone welcome!

Sarah’s service today explored Mind, Body and Spirit and mental health, including the reality that 1 in 4 people suffer with their mental health every year.
It was a thoughtful and moving service, with readings from the Bible, experiences from people suffering with their mental health... and a wonderful story about two frogs! 🐸 🐸

Christmas Trip to Cheltenham & Gloucester Gellionnen Chapel and Friends Sat 30th Nov – Sun 1st Dec 2019
... Join us for a community coach trip to Cheltenham and Gloucester for sight-seeing, Christmas shopping and lots of fun! Everyone is welcome to join us.
Cost: £115 (double/twin) or £149 (single) (includes transport, accommodation, dinner and breakfast)
The coach will leave from Edward’s Coaches, Llansamlet, Swansea at 8am on Saturday morning (cars can be left there), with a day in Gloucester for sight-seeing, shopping, etc. before dinner together and overnight stay at the Bowden Hall Mercure Hotel, Gloucester. On Sunday, spend the day in splendid Cheltenham, leaving at 4pm to return to Swansea.
Deposit of £50 per person needed by 1st March (remainder by 1st Sept)
