It is a lovely place, good food, drink, excellent location, friendly staff, lovely garden with heaters although disabled access you would have to go back out onto the high street and in front door to get to bar and vice versa for the garden. As for the toilets they have no disability access whatsoever so the disabled would need a strong bladder or an empty bottle. Signage could definitely be improved. The outdoor heater switch timer desperately needs extending beyond 2 minutes unless you like pushing a solitary button regularly and even though they advertise free wifi, I could not find anyone that could figure out how to connect to it even though I did ask some extremely helpful patrons and staff alike, maybe the helpful staff would help the disabled. I even asked the owner, but no luck. If you want internet take own hotspot or go elsewhere. They dont have customer suggestion box (hence I am commenting on here after the owner forgot after 24 hours a simple suggestion regarding safety in which he promised to resolve.... still yet to see. I swear the chef is 5 star, food just melts in your mouth, they cater for dogs in and outside with a keg of water and bowl outside for them (great pitstop for your dog if you are on your way to find a pub with accessible wifi). Staff amazing and helpful, never to busy for their patrons, but dont get too tipsy because I was told to quieten down and I was only on latte, although my voice does bellow I am under clinical investigation for cancer which affects my throat and voice, but nobody seemed interested in that fact. But dont fret, there is another pub directly next door, I havent checked it out so watch this space, and I have heard rumour that The Red Lion at Ty'n-Y-Groes will be reopening with superb management and definitely will be the best pub in Wales for bikers and locals alike. Yet another space to watch, but this space will be worth watching. xXx

Don't let the 3.4/5 stars rating stir you, George... & Dragon. It's only 27 reviews and surely you'll get more optimism with future reviewers. You survived well my personal test of trying your fish and chips... of which were in the top three of all those I tried in both Britain and Wales (Number one of all those I tried in Wales). You have an awesome setup and location... your patio is great and serene. What I also liked is your location, as you were close enough to Conwy Castle to be the days saving grace as I was really tired of walking and climbing stairs... so were my friends. If you look at my pic, you can see me, George... with my best buddy, Dragon... It's almost as if our meeting was written in the stars. You were meant to be there for us, and we were meant to be there, to be there.

First time here in donkey's years. Staff are friendly attentative and beer was cool and fairly priced.

Folks are here from all walks of life; Sydney (where I just arrived from), wales, england, Europe. Truly cosmopolitan.

I'm currently sitting outside in the expansive beer garden enjoying a real ale as the top of the castle pokes up in the distance.

Old school vibe with a clean modern feel, friendly people, good choice of ales and lagers too.

Two folks came in with dogs and bowls of water were hastily dispatched by the staff for their canine thirsts.

What's not to love?

AVOID !!! Me and my husband ordered 2 course lunch. I got soup spilled all over the plater, we didn't get spoons. Soup was absolutely disgusting. It seemed to me like it was blended soup from day or two before and they just add something sour to not feel it's old. After us one more guy gave it back right after tasting it. Sunday roast was a bit better, but without any sign of salt in it.
