Glan Y Gro is on the tranquil shore of Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) and offers 4 self-catering suites with balconies and kitchenettes. Run by owners Robert and Ann Marie, the property is convenient for town (1. 5miles) and all that Snowdonia has to offer.

GLAN Y GRO is a seven bedroomed B& B run by Ann & Robert Moore who welcome people to come and share in the peace and tranquility that is to be found in this most beautiful of locations.
All our rooms are en-suite and have views of the lake.

Of course, for those who want to also be active, the location is ideal as a base for walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing and water sports (see www. balawatersports.com).

Being on the 'eastern' side of Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) we are away from the tourist traffic, but still only a few minutes from Bala town itself.

Sit in our dining room for your breakfast, enjoying panoramic views out on to the lake you may well feel that you are on a big boat. Alternatively why not enjoy a coffee whilst sitting out on one of the balconies.

The Bala Lake Narrow Gauge Railway bisects our land and runs up and down unto 4 times a day in season (see www. bala-lake-railway. co. uk for ride and time information). And for those who wish to see more of the steam rail heritage in Wales there is the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways (http://www. festrail. co. uk).

We encourage enquiries from church groups - we are happy to host retreat days /weeks or small courses etc.

Photographic societies will find this a great location to partake in their passion with numerous opportunities to photograph landscapes, nature (our shore is part of an SSSI), water and sports (including boat races). You don't need to venture far for additional wonderful views of the hills and Snowdonia.

Fishermen will find this a convenient location and a number of species including brown and rainbow trout, salmon, perch, grayling, roach, pike and eels to be found (see http://www. balaangling. co. uk).
